i’m just finished episode 7 and i completely agree with your comment of too many useless scenes. i watched it in fast mode. the script has too many loopholes. i find jae hae okay but han ga in not so likeable. i even like seung mi and sa ra better. and i don’t know. i’m just not sensing the chemistry between the characters.

thanks javabeans for all your summaries, i read them after i watch the subbed eps, its a good recap for me, just to sum up what i’ve watched and to check if there are people out there who share the same thoughts and opinions with me.

i love jae hee since DGCH and i’ve waited for a full length series for such a long time and i can’t help but be disappointed with how witch yoo hee is unfolding. DGCH from the Hong sisters and Jun Ki Sang was a tough act to follow (I didn’t enjoy fantasy couple as much as i did DGCH and My Girl because it had a different director). I loved the first few episodes but it seems like there’s no progression, mu ryong still has a girlfriend (seung mi), still a housekeeper for yoo hee, still hasn’t developed romantic feelings for yoo hee, yoo hee still hasn’t gotten over joon ha, yoo still hasn’t developed romantic feelings for mu ryong. i’m also currently watching dalja and i feel guilty sometimes that i’m liking dalja better.

i loved the scene with mu ryong running and trying to catch up on yoo hee’s car, yoo hee slowed down until mu ryong is just a few feet away only to rev and speed up again… but the next scene showed mu ryong at work, so what happened after, we just assume that he ran all the way home? a tiny scene showing mu ryong dead tired from running to yoo hee’s place wouldn’t hurt would it?

i hope we see progression in the future eps.

I love Dennis Oh from Sweet Spy (he plays Johnny) and he is so cute. At first he didn’t really have any developed feeling for Yoo Mi but now, he is totally in love with her. However, Moo-ryong doesn’t seem to realise that she doesn’t like him.

In fact the problem with this drama is they have such a talented cast, but have no idea how to make them mesh. In fact, when I read the sypnosis of what this drama is supposed to be about on drama wiki I was very confused.

One thing is… I love the student chef that is in love with Johnny – she’s too funny to be true!

I’ve been keeping in touch with all episodes of Witch Yoo Hee from our reviews and they are amazing! Keep up the good effort.

Somehow it feels like they are just trying to do too much, with too many characters, and too many subplots.
I guess the problem lies with the casting of such a stellar combination of actors and actresses that it would be a waste not to fully “utilize” them. When they do however, the writers end up affecting the main plot and confusing the viewers as well.

hmm.. remember the part where he said that she’s cute and he wonders why people are afraid of her.

that was a pretty long dialogue and i’m quite surprised people in the lift were willing to wait for them to finish their conversation!

So everyone feels the same way? Gosh me too.
I agree about the story focusing on too many characters now. It’s not a bad thing yes, but it’s definitely one of the factors which causes deviation from the main storyline. The first few eps, like deeta mentioned, were great. I loved everything, the flow, the chemistry and even the humor. But the story’s starting to bore me right now. There’s still no indication whatsoever of YH feeling for MR at all. I can see MR feeling for YH but not YH. And all the time she’s just after a minor character JH. I actually heard KJH was supposed to appear in several eps but his screen time was extended because of I duno what reason. But it seems as if the PDs/writers are trying to force a big bulk into the characters themselves now.

And about SM being a perfect girl. Yea..she is one. It’s kinda unrealistic but hey that’s what we call drama right? What bugs me is the over emphasis on the CHARACTERS and not the story itself. Sure we get lots of MR,YH, Johnny, SM and JH but in the end where is the story heading to? Nowhere at the moment, IMO.

I actually enjoyed the scenes of MR’s family more. And I find Han Sera and Song Hwa’s girlfriend cute in their own ways… at least I got a good laugh watching those parts.
