I love this show. Love it to bits. It is intense, funny but poignant, entertaining and yet touching.

I've just finished watching this ep and I can't wait to watch the next one. Thankfully I don't have to wait, but I just wanted to say how much I liked it (am I repeating myself?) and how much I like how the main plot and the subplots are all clicking into place oh so well. I think "Flowers" managed to do that like no other drama before. It's subtle but it gets the message across while still being all kinds of awesome.

"I love this second shot. Wordless, simple imagery. It’s perfect."
yep. That's wonderful. I also liked the fact that Eun tak realized something was wrong with them, but didn't say anything...like maybe it wasn't his place or none of his business and yet in that fraction of scene, just a few seconds of airtime, you get to see his genuine concern. LOVE that. Back in the beginning of the drama, I had no idea why tptb were bringing up Pil Gum and Eun Tak's mom's love story (I'm going out of a limb and say he dumped her cos he thought it was better for her), but now my doubts are pretty much confirmed. I just hope Eun Tak realizes what's going to happen, thinks back to his mom and helps Ho Sang and Hana.

Oh anywya, tptb are really good with the quiet scenes, imho. I particularly like Ran and Hana's "conversations"

I started watching this because you said such great things about it! At first I didn't quite get it - but I DO now!! Oh my, I LOVE this drama - the writing, the characters, the actors... I laugh and cry and then rush to your site to see what you've written about the episode I just watched. Thank you SO much for insisting that people watch it. You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! It's brilliant!

loving every word in this blog... ^_^

harhar i really love reading your recaps of the kdramas... it gets me interested in the underrated series that are worth far more attention than it has been receiving (i.e. the devil and flowers of my life) i am currently watching both dramas in KBS world and i think your positive reviews despite their unfortunate stance are right on the dot... i think these shows should have been given a rightful chance by more viewers... please do continue encouraging people to watch these underrated shows and also please do continue summarizing the episodes of bad couple... as im currently loving it!! thanks!!!

Thanks for the summary yet again, javabeans!

I am one of your readers who turned to watch the show because of your recaps.... haha. Your first episode recap of this show was very funny that I had to watch the real thing :P And I was not disappointed! Thanks again!

This episode is probably the most moving episode so far, and I'm really impressed by the actors, they did such great jobs!
Apart from Ho Sang's farewell with Hana, I thought Madam Gong's "returning daughter" scenes were very sad too...
I was pleasantly surprised that the writers went this deep for this Madam Gong's character.

But of course, another reason I found to continue watching this series, is Eun Tak,... heh.
Is it even possible for a man to look sexier with each episode? Haha.
I was laughing away when he was at the scene's background, watching the cancer show on TV with Ho Sang. He didn't even try to look cool!

There is so much to appreciate in the series, i.e. the well-written script, the actors, the "unusual" family background, and a few eye candies :P.
So, I'm going to jump in your boat, javabeans, and ask everybody to watch the show as well :)
Thanks again for the wonderful summary, as always!

Ha Na knows though because she overheard the head nurse talk about it.

Wow. I was brought to tears by the tiniest of details and change of vocal tones during some of the dialogues. And I don't even understand Korean. That's how great these actors are.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
I, too, must echo Javabeans, Watch This Show. It's simply marvelous.
Thanks for the summary!
