Hi, Congrats (late) on your wonderful page! I love all the recommendations you did on the new music...please do that often! I was wondering if you had some more songs available for download on V.E.I.L album...it's pretty catchy! Thanks!

Congrats, Sarah!

Sorry this is a bit late. I haven't been reading your blog for too long, but you do a fantastic job!

I've become a MAJOR nuna FTI fan (I'm 24) over the past month or so. I first found about them back in the middle of February. I was just sitting on the couch, passively watching an episode of Music Bank (we get the episodes about a month later here in Chicago, complete with subtitles, which is good for me as I know very little Korean), and then all I remember is hearing one of the hosts say "FT Island" and as soon as I heard that voice I perked up. They really stood out to me and I really liked their sound. [It was a performance of "Lovesick". ] After the performance, I kept repeating the band name over and over to remember, and finally just wrote it down.

I thought they might be in their early 20's (though, yeah, they did look a bit younger than that) until I looked up more info on them. Then I went to MySpace, did some google searches, looked on YouTube and just went nuts. :P I've had Cheerful Sensibility for close to 3 weeks and don't know how many times I've listened to it. Great stuff. Lee Honggi's voice is love.

I wish I could get out to the Peace Festival in LA to see them, but just can't do it. I highly doubt they'll ever make their way to Chicago. *sigh*

Ok, sorry to ramble on. I'll be checking out the other music suggestions as time permits me.

Hi there, that performance by FT Island and Lee Seung Gi was nice. They complimented each other well. Not an out-of-this-world-type of act but a good collaboration nonetheless. They should repeat the pairing again. And oh boy, they're so young! Thank you for the intro to Younha.

Marisse If the version in this site has a problem, there are load of other places on the net where you can find a working copy. For people with little or no Korean ,
http://www.esnips.com/_t_/kpop
is a good place to start. In theory, you have to sign up (free) to download rather than just play the online streams, but if you know, or learn, a little JavaScript and take a peek at the page source, it's not too difficult to download without supplying any particulars if you really want to.

But hey, why not get a legal copy and send some cash Youn Ha's way? I think she's the finest new pop-rock talent to emerge in recent years, and I like her so much I actually bought both versions of her first CD, even though most of the tracks are the same. The repackaged version comes with a cute little photo album (though why they superglued it to the CD case instead of making it a pull-out beats me) which is also great for people like me who need practice reading handwritten Hangul, since it has facsimile jottings by JH around the pix and lyrics. You can get the newer "repackaged" one (I think the original is sold out now) from YesAsia. Better still, click through to YesAsia from javabeans ad. on this site so that way you'll be supporting dramabeans financially as well as Youn Ha.
