Hey guys, I know a few of you (jiangzemin and hua, and perhaps some others) were interested in compiling a full list of all the songs used in Coffee Prince that are not on the soundtrack. Thanks for providing the list from another site — I’ve put up the current song list up on this page. I made it a page under the “SONGS” tab up top ^ for easy navigation. If you find more to add, leave a comment and I’ll update the list.
As I noted, I have a feeling posting these direct links might just be killer for my bandwidth, but I’m gonna give it a try for now. I HAVE, however, provided links to batch files uploaded to sendspace, zshare, and megaupload — please use those links if you can, and leave the direct links for people who aren’t able to download from those sites.
I really liked this chapter… Not for a romantic reason (though that’s never bad), but because the conversation is, for the first time, a little more profound. It definitely shows where both Han Gyul and Eun Chan are coming from, and shows what contrasting philosophies govern both of their lives.
If you’ve dropped by anytime in the past two days, you’ll have noticed lots of weirdness. You may have noticed that I’d posted two posts that have since disappeared — they were both just there to let you know of possible site issues, so I decided not to break my brain retrieving them when they were lost in the transfer. All the important stuff is still here. Some of the most recent comments may have also been lost — there weren’t too many, but sorry if they did!
I’ve noticed that the transfer managed to drop every single thing written in Korean. I can’t understand why since I transferred my SQL databases exactly as is, and it’ll be a big pain to go back and fix them all (I started to, but I didn’t realize how many posts I have. Damn, I write a lot). But at this point I’m not complaining because I’m just glad that’s my only issue. So if you’re confused at all those ??????’s, I’m working on it!
I hesitate to rejoice fully, but in case you’re interested in hearing more about the harrowing travails of moving a server (which really, really should not be a difficult process), read on! And even if you don’t care about that, I’m throwing up lots of really random songs — they have nothing in common, aside from the fact that they’re just songs I felt like posting. I usually make it a point only to post up songs by Korean artists, but now that I’m freed of the shackles of restrictive hosting, I’m in a not-caring-about-the-rules kind of mood. I’m just gonna make the most of my new resources.
Notice: Guys, I’ll be doing some server moving beginning today (hopefully that puts and end to all those error messages and woes!!). This site should remain just as you see it (I’m crossing my fingers that it’s seamless and unnoticeable) but I have been known to eff things up, so if something glitches, you know why. Also, during the transition some comments MAY be lost — I think I’ll be able to recover the ones that fall through, but this is just to let you know it’s not you, it’s me. (No, really.) Sankyoo for your patience! *muah*
(Random) SONG OF THE DAY
Younha featuring Wheesung - “어린욕심” (Youthful Ambition). The title might translate more literally to “youthful greed” or “immature selfishness” but I don’t like that interpretation. 욕심 can be both a good or a bad thing — bad if you feel greedy to possess something, but good if it means you’re motivated and determined to earn something. So thus my preferred translation is “youthful ambition.” [ zShare download ]
I find it so interesting how two separate entities can take the same (or very similar) scenes and circumstances and weave them into their stories, and have both versions flow nicely. There are a few familiar bits in Chapter 8 that we’ve seen in the drama, but the context is a bit different, and yet both versions work for me.
