Hmmm. I'm feeling that CP fever too ^_^ I have very long hair now.. I think I want to chop it off, for a change he he.. I think being feminine has nothing to do with having a long hair, it really depends solely on your character :-)

shucks! i also had my hair chopped short after 6 years of having it long. I think i got influenced by CP also. But i'm not regretting it coz it is much easier to manage and i think my hair got thicker. Now, i'm maintaining a short hair, i mean i'm not letting it grow past my shoulder. I'm lovin' it (^-^)

Tell you the truth, after Coffee Prince I chop off my long hair which took me years to keep. Whether it is the influence of My Chan or just my knack for a change, well ... a bit of both I guess. I just decided that I wanted a different style, but not as short as My Chan's (my husband dislike it too short). I guess Coffee Prince does influence a little the recent trend. Who doesn't get drawn to the modern days fairy tales? Whether we like it or not, or whether our grandmother's time or now, we are still as romantic at heart as they were in their time. That's why Coffee Prince and The Vineyard Man appeal to us so much. Call me romantic but I always love a good story with a good ending, and at the end of a hard day's work, I could laze around and unwind.

I've always felt a vague liking for Park Jiyoon because for being such a pretty girl, she seemed very low-key. Which I'm aware is an impression I could've very well just made up in my head, heh.

esyl, it's actually 'javabeans' -- that was the handle i had on the original blog at wordpress. 'Dramabeans' arose when i moved to my own domain and had to pick a new name -- it seemed appropriate enough. ;) But i respond to pretty much anything, hehe.

To each his own, i guess. I think Coffee Prince may have opened up an outlet for artistic self expression. Looking androgynous enable the individual to cross boundaries and experiment. Europe has been doing this for a while now, isn't it? Yay for progressive Korea. On the other hand, maybe everyone is just caught up in the latest fashion must-do. Plus, it's only hair ... it will grow back (in a few months when the next trend comes around).

I think it started with the feminine looking boys in K-pop scene. Especially the boy bands that get younger and younger each time I see a new one come about. I don't think this is a recent trend....These slender, gentle looking boys made me wonder what happened to macho-ness and all that supposedly real men. They are still idolized anyhow by lots of fan-girls despite not being the conventional idea of men. I think those kind of image became a norm and I got used to it...Perhaps it is a way of telling us that the society is accepting of different definitions of "men" and "women". Perhaps it is a way of accepting men who are not muscular and has gentler features. Perhaps it is a way of accepting women who are more on the boyish-side and does not have the feminine curves.
