I hope you watched Episode 10, because it is by far my favourite episode. It's sad that it didn't have great ratings, because I personally loved the drama. =)

Glad to see you still recapping this. I was beginning to think you had hopped off this particular bus.

I agree that it's not an all-time great, but I do hope that the basic 90%-self-contained-episode format they are trying to foster does find a place on the KDrama map eventually, because its nice to have something where you can watch an episode or two without getting hooked into needing to watch a dozen more before life can go on.

Another rather good point from a learner's perspective is that all the players seem to speak with unusual clarity. Maybe it's an attempt to emphasise the refined air of the art world, but it extends to the other roles too. Even the heavy mob on their occasional appearances grunt and roar quite intelligibly.

Pardon me, javabeans, just noticed and not sure if these sentences were meant to be like this:

"If the public catches wind that one of their specialists is the daughter of a known forger, Will Auction House’s reputation would be ruined."
"As a boy, h’d been playing off on his own one day when his sister gave him a ho-ddeok to eat."

Sounds like it's an alright show, but nothing spectacular or groundbreaking. Do you think it connect well with the viewers (which may help to explain its dismal ratings)? Does anyone seem to care about the main characters so far? Feel like the show needs a little bit more wit, humour or maybe a personality makeover. Although i must give the writers credit for fitting the show nicely within the allotted time frame. At least it has all the requisites: begining, middle and end; fair attempt at a "new" format. Thank you for the recap, javabeans.
