Which super-cute actor would voluntarily do this to himself?
Um, wow.
Apparently this fresh-faced actor appeared at MKMF in female rocker getup — but he found himself disappointed because nobody recognized him, as he explained when appearing on Mnet’s Star Watch 24 to be aired on the 28th. Perhaps it was because he was in the opening act and not many people saw him, but in any case, he felt a letdown when he figured out that no one had realized who he was.
Personally, I say thank heaven for small wonders, but this guy felt differently. Maybe the audience was too busy trying to figure out why the cracked-out rocker tranny was onstage to even consider it could be him, in wild contrast to his normal look…

It’s adorable actor Jang Geun Seok, recently of Hwang Jini and soon to be in Hong Gil Dong!
After the performance, he kept an eye out on internet search sites in eager anticipation for the response to his appearance.. but nuthin’. (Aw. I think it’s cute when a star admits to rushing online like a dork to see people’s reactions. Lol.) In the end, Jang Geun Seok had to reveal his identity himself.
The article (in Star News) describes his appearance as womanly, slender, and brilliantly made up in his Hedwig (of the Angry Inch) look. Hm. I’d describe it more like a busted-up drag queen with the makeup gun set to “clown hooker,” but potayto, potahto.
Oh, and speaking of rocker chicks (and Delightful Girl Chun Hyang references), one actress who will be making the leap to rock singer for real early next year is Lee In Hye, currently acting in the drama Insoon Is Pretty:

I’m always skeptical of stuff like this, but Lee In Hye is preparing herself diligently for her debut, and will be playing the guitar herself during performances. She’s apparently known for her strong singing skills dating back to her youth, when she’d sung in choirs. She has resolutely determined never to lip-synch, and has assembled a dream team to help her, including pop singers MC the Max, Sung Shi Kyung, Jo Sung Mo, and the composer/songwriter Shin Dong Woo (who did the OST of Delightful Girl Chun Hyang), as well as other famous songwriters and producers.

Lee In Hye does look good. She also glowed in Hwang Jinyi as the surrogate courtesan to that bad playboy courtier who loved Ha Ji Won. It’d be interesting to check out her singing talent too.

Awww..a cutie indeed. Imagine his reaction when he discovered that nobody actually recognised him..lolz..But a food for thought, doesn’t it mean that he was convincing enough when portraying the drag, that nobody actually knew who he was?
