man! lip syncing is ok but not at all times! maybe once or twice in your career life, you can lip sync. I find it ridiculous for some singers whose excuses of lip synching is they can’t do both dancing and singing. If you cant do both, then apparently, you are not a good performer. right? That is the requirement of your profession and if you can’t meet that, then, quit being a performer or you just sing and stop dancing. you cannot always depend on lip syncing for the sake of giving a great performance. this idea is analogous to a doctor who is always dependent to other doctors. if you can’t hold you patients, then, you should quit. same goes with singers.

it’s kinda sad when so much people talking about “WG can’t sing” since i was one of their fan..may be it’s just on so hee case, i admit it, even some times she can..the other member, i think, they really can sing and dance at same time but you can’t compare their ability with beyonce..you can see their performance on radio show, which is always live of course..about lip sync, of course live is better than lip sync,but even beyonce use lip sync when she has to dance while singing,right..they usually using something like, the recorded version of the song played along with them singing live,,when they fell like too tired, and fell they cant sing their parts, they just lip sync it..lip sync its no okay, but if they can show something different, why not??

Hey everybody. Know what? I’ve been reading all the posts so far. And it can’t be denied, there must be some error somewhere. Why ask Big Bang to lipsynch, when theyre damn good with live performances???

I mean, performing live is what they are known for, its their “forte”, so to speak. I thought everybody knew that.

And yes, it IS pretty difficult to sing while dancing and jumping around, but Big Bang certainly “brings” it. They deliver, and how!

If you wanna test this, there are videos on youtube tht are tagged “MR”, which means “music removed” or something like that. This means that they manipulate the video somehow and remove the ambient music during the performances so that the artists’ real voices stand out. Check it out, you’ll see that Big Bang definitely makes the cut, consistently. Can’t say the same for the other artists, though.

I actually disagree with the article. As a youtuber, I’ve watched a fair amount of kpop videos and compared them to when they sing live. Certainly, they have their moments where they sing out of tune, or simply just what I call a weak performance. And I’ve seen a lot of criticism about it. Some people say how terrible the performance was, or how fake it was because it was lip-synched. I, however feel that it is a good thing they are singing live. And I reckon they should keep it that way. I personally hate performers who lip-synch in concerts or live concerts because it’s such a waste of time going there, spending a ridiculously large amount of money to see your favorite kpop band, when you really want to hear them sing LIVE not lip-synched. I mean, isn’t that the whole point of live concerts? to hear them live? You might as well have not gone to the performance, and just listened to their CD or download it from the internet if it was to be lip-synched. I say, that the performers should just take in the criticism and work hard on making their performance better. Every single person is not perfect, and you can tell that even the wealthy, famous stars have their imperfections which makes them human. I think that those lousy, horrible performances show us that they are humans and not perfect. No one is. So, I say no to lip-synching.

WHY THE FUCK IS JYP A PRODUCER? YOU RUINED THE WGS FOREVER!!!!! THEY WERE FINE WITH IRONY, WHY THE HELL DID HE HAVE TO INTRODUCE TELL ME, AND WHY DID KOREAN FANS HAVE TO GO ALONG WITH IT JUST BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T LIKE IRONY. IT OBVIOUSLY SHOWS THEY PREFER THE CUTENESS OVER TALENT. >.>

I HOPE HE FREAKING DECIDED TO GIVE THEM REAL SONGS TO SING AND KICKS SOHEE OUT OF THE GROUP, SHE BRINGS DOWN THEIR IMAGE AND MAKES THEM HOLD BACK.

Dramabeans you are so awesome for addressing this problem. This is a big reason why I stay away from korean music. Like I still like Younha and SG Wannabe but every time I go on the top 100 korean music chart it disgusts me to see the Wonder Girls or DBSK. The fact that they are popular singers are an insult to singers like Younha and aspiring singers. Of course I like Big Bang and other groups but after I heard them live I lost all respect for them. JYP is supporting the Wonder Girls which makes me blame him. I started to go into jpop like Utada Hikaru ( I love her!~). To me lip synching is like running away and hiding your true voice. Thats not a nice thing to do to your loyal fans. If you’re not good at singing then you shouldn’t be a singer. Its as simple as that. Such groups make the music industry of korea look like we are only interested in looks and not talent. I wouldn’t mind if maybe not all your performances were perfect. But some of them should convey talent. Sorry for ranting on and on. ~

I just wish all of the girls will STOP looking like carbon copies of each other! Its just so confusing sometimes when you look at their videos and go.. “Who is Who?” T.T
