I'm being haunted by spam. DIE SPAM DIE DAMMIT! Every email I receive is spam. ARGH!!!

Someone must've done something friendly and submitted me to some spamming list.

I've been rooting for Ron Paul because he's the only president getting young people and college Students interested in politics again. However, it seems the Republicans are trying to hide him since he makes too much sense.

I don't really trust Hillary, considering how how she sets up public Q&A sessions like a WWE match. She's pretty much doing what Bush has been doing...which is manipulate the flow of information, and just like Bush...she gets caught. Besides, if she ever gets elected, the Republicans will rip her to shreds since she has too much baggage.

I'd prefer Obama over Hillary, but Edwards over Obama....and both of them combining to form a super-saiyan fusion Political part.

I feel the same way about Stewart and Colbert! I love them and always knew that they could write their own stuff just fine (though, last night's self-written bit on global warming was a bit off)... but I'm torn. On one hand, like you say, I feel guilty for enjoying it. But on the other hand, elections are underway and there is a desperate need for them to be on the air. I kinda feel like these two shows should be an exception for now, at least that's how I'm rationalizing it. :)

I'd be happy with either Hillary or Obama. They are both intelligent and willing to work for change. The Republican presidential candidates are nothing but right wing buffoons.

I'll trade my email account with all of you anyday. Not only do i get spam, they're porn spam. Bad porn spam. I have 3 different emails and all are inundated with requests for me to meet up with someone about something that i obviously do not own or are good at. And while we're at it, what's the deal with the porn internet pop-ups? It's their internet invasion: one typo on the http:// line - ucla.com- and boom, it's another type of education that i do not need. I want my cyberspace back. Please, Mr. Gore? (And yes, i know ... he did NOT invent the internet!)

It's going to be interesting if Mr. ... errr... Mrs. Clinton comes back to the House. Ah, the melodrama. Whoever he/she is, make an attempt, would ya? Solve Iraq ... and Afghanistan ... and Pakistan ... and the homelessness & poverty in your own country!

The weather is good right now in the OC =D not too hot and not too cold. It sucks that I'm sick and can't enjoy it, stupid sore throat.

I'm pretty much fine with either Hilary or Obama. Though I wish Hilary will make her husband stand behind a bit. I mean, she's a pretty intelligent person with some good ideas with great campaign strategies, but the fact that her husband keep coming as if HE'S running for president ticks me off! >.

I think a lot of people would vote for her because they're thinking exactly that. In any case my vote is going to Obama. I would love to see an Obama/Edwards ticket; the republican "empty-heads" would find it hard to beat. I swear all the republicans are trying to distance themselves from President Moron, I mean President Bush, that it's funny to watch. I'm surprised no republican candidate has seriously blasted him in a debate yet.

And on the subject of spam, I swear gmail does a better job of filtering it than yahoo. To this day, I still get porn spam in my yahoo inbox; it's annoying as hell! I even set up filters in my yahoo inbox and they don't even work. Very frustrated with yahoo mail.

I voted for Edwards 4 years ago and still consider him the most aligned with my beliefs and philosophy. My only divergence from Democrats are taxes - I'm a financial conservative but a social liberal. Anyway, my dilemma this time around is whether I should vote based on 1) issues as I normally do, therefore go with Edwards, 2) my desire to have a woman lead this country, or 3) my desire for long overdue diversity in this country's leadership. Sigh. Dilemma, dilemma.

That's interesting.. I absolutely love Gmail. I do get lots of spam, but every single one of them automatically goes into the Spam folder. So I never see them, I just go in to Spam like once every month or so and click on the "delete all spam messages now" button. Even if I don't do that, Gmail will delete spam that's 30 days old anyways. It's great. :]

Linda, Gmail used to wonderful like that for me until recently. Unfortunately, I haven't had any penis enlargement offers (end up in my main inbox) which I can forward to male friends.

i'm all for a woman leading this country (finally!) but hilary scares me to death. she's too calculating and power hungry. nothing good can come from that. i think the only reason why she's still with bill is for political gain.

To merriwether, uh oh.. so I better look out in the future huh? I guess maybe one thing you can do is to get a new email account. Or for example, I used to have this old Hotmail acct, and now I never use it. But, whenever I need to register for stuff online or put in an e-mail address somewhere, I always just use that old one. I save my Gmail acct only for school and friends, and maybe some official stuff like Paypal or Amazon. Now I rarely check my Hotmail acct, and it is definitely full of spam. I only have to log back in if I've forgotten my password to a prior registration or something.

I don't think Hilary is powerhungy. I think she comes out strong because she has alot of experience and she has to prove herself amongst the other male candidates. She was in the white house with her husband. She knows the ins/outs of presidency. She knows much more of what is reality than the other candidates. Obama, I dont really connect with him. Personally, he doesnt seem like someone who will bring about the actual change. The issues Hillary or Obama will deal with are really complex. There is no easy way out. For example, they can't change the health care system, or the status on war overnight or over their two terms. They will work towards the better, but cannot drastically change it as there are so many different factors they have to consider, such as MONEY!!! So, if i look at the problems that way, I think Hilary or Obama either will be fine. But, I still prefer Hilary. Come on, who doesnt want a lady president? That would just take presidency to another level. lol

Other than this, I have an interview next week that I am scared to death about. dramabeans helps me divert my stress in positive way. Thanks Dramabeans! This site is awesome. Love it.

i seriously think that Hilary crying was a way to get people to notice her more. As a woman, i think that having a woman president is great, but i do not think this is the time in our country to have her.

As much as I want Obama to win - the only reason being that I don't find any of the other candidates that appealing as a leader ~ I don't know if America is ready for a non-white president. I felt that Democrats really screwed themselves this year because I don't see Hilary or Obama being voted into office ~ sorrybut to me, America is just too racist, obviously not everyone but the majority. I will vote though - no matter who wins the primaries... >_

Also want to add a comment in response to the person who said they're a financial conservative. I totally understand where you're coming from - I understand the need for taxes but when they're not improving anything when raised...I don't see a point in them. Maybe if the education system, or the health care system were better - I wouldn't care about the high taxes...

I think he's more moderate than a lot of the other candidates.

any - I also find it interesting that many in the Clinton opposition find her to be too power hungry. She may be calculating, but who in politics isn't? I can't help but wonder if she is considered to be too calculating and power hungry because she is a woman. Should a man exhibit the same qualities, I can't help but feel that he would be called intelligent and ambitious.

E - I also question the Democratic candidates' electability. The nation is not ready to vote in a person of color or a woman as president. I think Obama would make a better president (if only because, as a whole, he is more likable than Clinton - a very polarizing figure - and will be able to garner more support), but when it comes down to it, white will win over black - such is the nature of race relations in a country in which institutional racism is firmly entrenched. And when you factor in the gender inequality created by the patriarchy, man will win over woman. And, unfortunately, I don't think Edwards really has much of a chance. Things do not look good for the Dems. Eh, maybe my husband is right and I'm being too pessimistic. Maybe Obama can win. Woo hoo! I hope that he's right.

lol this is interesting reading the political discussion. I'm Canadian, so I am watching this whole thing from an outsiders perspective. From what I've read in the newspapers and seen on TV and such, I'd like to see Obama win, I think he'll do some good things. I wonder who Micheal Moore is voting for? I've seen his documentaries, such as Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11, and even skimmed his book Stupid White Men.....boy, is he ever one opinionated SOB :(
Anyway, it'll be interesting to see not only who wins the next presidential election, but what they do once they're in office.

Essentially, I'm leaning towards Obama, and I'm glad that Stewart and Colbert are back (albeit guiltily so). Also, the media have just been ridiculous regarding recent events, and I never get spam in my Gmail account. (Don't tell me I just jinxed myself =X)

Speaking of Colbert, he actually backs Ron Paul...in the satirical way he's known for.

firts of all am Mexican, Obama seems to me like the former president we had Mr Fox, he was an amazing candidate all about change and incredible speachess, we elected him, and it was a deception, dont vote for the charismatic one that u can see as your budy, vote for the one who can actually deliver and do the job beyond the speach. to me that seem Hilary Clinton, but since i cant vote.... I will just say choose wisely.

I'm not for Obama. I don't really trust that guy. Observing from the outside (I'm not in US) that's the feeling I got. I have listen to him talk, pretty smooth talker but then I am one also but I am looking for quality leader that have it in him or her to bring the country out of the situation that US is in now. From Economic to socio economic, just delivering speeches about changes does not mean he could have pull it off.
As for Hillary, I'm game for a woman president but just because she is one does not mean she'll be a good one either. So far I have observed of Hillary, she's pretty experience. I find her quick and witty and I have to say that anyone could bring America out of problems, it could be her. America need a house cleaning. I would vote for Hillary (if I can vote since I am not American , I could not) so all I can do is just pray for her and her campaign.

^^^ that's why you should check out Ron Paul. He actually voted against the war. He's pretty much the only guy I know of....running, who does not need to spin his decision as to why he did it.

He may be a Republican, but he's more of a liberal than what he's label as. People need to give him a chance and listen to him debate. We don't have to vote for Hillary or Obama just because they are the biggest names on the Democrat's side.
