Funny why some people are getting so heated up over who’s getting plastic surgery and who’s a “natural” beauty in the Korean entertainment world. Cosmetic surgeries are nothing new in the entertainment scene worldwide (read hollywood). What do they mean by natural beauty anyway? Over here, some people consider “natural” beauty as being beautiful even without make up. I remember before leaving school, most of my classmates look pretty bland, not so photogenic. Now, they look great with the help of some make up and proper grooming (suitable hairstyles, dressing etc). I don’t think any one of them had gone for plastic surgeries (I don’t think facials and mole removals count?).

By the way, my mom and her siblings look nothing alike. Should i suspect my mom to have had surgery? LOL (They didn’t even have the money to pursue their studies, should I suggest they had money for surgery then?). My siblings and I look nothing like her or my dad too. Yeah, robbo4, I went to school with a dozen other sets of siblings where one was a beauty queen and the other was just average haha. Looking from above pictures, I would say that Korean actors and actresses are a reflection of what the Koreans are generally like: some pretty, some average (just like the rest of the world). Difference is, they have more pressure (coming from people like us) contributing to their insecurities. If the actresses and actors are not good looking, would you pay any attention to them on the television? Genetics are variations in nature. Why talk about genetics?

i, being a Kim Jung Eun fan(hardcore fan at that), felt also bad she had resorted to surgery. she was really cute when she was little and people are using her very old photo which was her middle school photo as the basis how much she changed her look. they didn’t give attention to her high school photo by which she was starting to bloom. it was also the feeling of her insecurity to her younger sister. she admitted that her sister is the prettier one even when they little, plus the fact that her mother and her aunt were Miss Korea 1971 and 1969 respectively. she said in Ya Shim Man Man that her mother would feed her a lot so she would look chubby to compensate for her not so pretty appearance, so she would look cute. she hated the fact she got more her father’s genes rather than the beauty queen genes of her mother. her sister looks more like her mother side. her aunt who was 1969 Miss Korea Universe looked more like Song Hye Gyo and that was the time when plastic surgery was not yet popular.
