The underlying sentiment being, "You are misinformed and accept populist propaganda." I thought there was something to the implication, yet also thought, "Well, duh!" In the age of the internet we're all better able to get a grasp of the various facets to an argument and be better informed... yet news has to come from somewhere. Which is my way of both critiquing and appreciating the news system as it exists. Because there are always issues with the way things are reported (as long as one doesn't go out of one's way to distort things), but at a certain point you can't ask for the impossible, ya know?
