I’m a few weeks late to this news, but I haven’t seen this pic floating around yet (forgive me if you already have): So Ji Sub (yes, this one and, unfortunately, also this one) dons the role of a spirit in upcoming Japanese film Gegege no Kitaro. I’ve seen this on soompi a few weeks ago.. yeah.. scary.. i don’t really like the idea of him being a zombie. but like some fan said, this will show his versatility

dude.. SJS def looks like something out of my nightmares.. i’ve always thought asian ghosts way are scarier than western ones.. esp the ones with white clothes & long hair.. >_

Love how So Ji Sub’s done a fantastic job avoiding the “4 bloody years since me and my tragically hip self has showed up on a K-drama!” issue. Absolutely LOVE it!
I think this would be the Kitaro sequel. Eiji and Mao did the Kitaro remake in 2007, and I assume Eiji’s reprising the role.

Nobody prefers SJS’s Brown Bunny picture, except maybe Chloe Sevigny. Doesn’t anybody else think Vincent Gallo is a little . . . gross?

i honestly thought he was kang dong won for a sec – for that sorcery movie coming soon. will they dub SJS too?
I doubt it — I would be surprised if he has more than a few lines. Kitaro is mostly for the kids.
