To be honest, when they first came out I actually thought some of it was decently real (yes, I know I'm a sucker). But after watching those "Behind The Scenes" shows I saw how a lot of the interpersonal conflicts are fabricated and all due to editing. How sometimes they will take "reaction shots" from different scenes and insert somewhere else. Or how in cases where there's a celebrity judge, they will record the snappy comebacks after the fact and just insert them in (like in the Apprentice). Sigh... maybe I was happier when I didn't know :) I’ve been so disillusioned with American reality shows that I now disregard them as such.
