I think Sun Hee's panic is completely warranted. She had just been overwhelmed by the impact of Jaebin's last confession and his apparent dive in career. So when she sees the reporters, she is not worried abt herself, but for Jaebin. Because if he gets discovered, his career will be further damaged. That's why she frantically tried to call him, not to rescue her but to tell him not to come to her place..

Just completed watching this drama again after so long. Salute to Choi for her great acting..

hmm...perhaps Sun Hee is Dong Hwa's first love?
i mean, why would he think of her suddenly when they were talking about first loves..
we all know that he really doesn't date much...

and i really salute jae bin for his bravery in revealing to the public his true self...
if i were a fan, i'd support him wholeheartedly too...

all in all, i like episode 15 :)

I really like the ending of this episode. I agree with Bee comments. I would be so worried about my daughter and Jae Bin coming back. I also think the last scene was a nice touch. In episode 8 she was hiding her face and Jae Bin was protecting her. In this scene she decided not to hide anymore and face the press together. I just like the contrast of the two scenes. This scene shows just how far she has come.
Thank You for writing about this wonderful drama. I love your summaries.

Well... it's one thing to face the reporters when you are prepared to be a "public figure" and another when the truth of your present situation hasn't filtered into your brain just yet and the mob overruns you in the morning with their flashlights and microphons, asking questions and taking pictures of your underwear on the line.
Plus, she didn't have the chance to talk to her daughter (who at that moment was still out there) and prepare her for what will happen, or to even get her to accept the relationship mommy got into.

So yes, I can very well understand why she hid in that panicky state, fighting something she had absolutely no experience with... and why should she know that the reporters would not go and crash the door/smash the window?

It's all nice to say something from the safety of your sofa, but when you are in the middle of a situation, things might not look so simple.

Just my two cents. :)

Thanks javabeans! I felt that the ending was contrived just so that we could have those voiceovers. "Thank you for blah... Thank you for blah" - as a lead up into the series finale. I also felt that Sun Hee's fear was absolutely irrational - the reporters are not flesh eating aliens, there was no need to cower in her room in fear. If anything, I was wondering if they were (again) trying to portray her as an unwitting victim of Yoo Shik, with a subsequent rescue from Jae Bin.

On a side note, I just discovered that Jung Jun Ho sang his own theme song, "Promise," on the soundtrack. While I do like him very much, isn't singing your own theme song just a tad on this side of whorish?

I completely agree with your reading of the ending. When I first watched it, I had the same thoughts: What is she so freaked out about? They're just stupid reporters, not flesh-eating zombies. So when Jae Bin came to "rescue her" dramatically, it felt kind of silly... especially with their over-the-top voice-over comments. I loved the series completely, but that one scene at the end was probably my biggest complaint. But still, that's not too bad, considering how I can find many many more in almost every series I've ever watched or loved. ^_^

Again, thanks for the summary. Your comments are always so entertaining!
