A plays the It Girl in the pages of V, xoxo

Vogue celebrates its 12 anniversary with a special spread featuring seven leading ladies styled as film (and TV) figures using the concept “Vogue Fashion Movie.”

Go Ara, above, takes on the Gossip Girl character of Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively.

Below, Kim Min-hee adopts the Edie Sedgwick look as portrayed by Sienna Miller in the movie Factory Girl; Su Ae dresses as Queen Elizabeth a la Cate Blanchett; Gong Hyo-jin follows Gong Li’s footsteps in Memoirs of a Geisha; Uhm Jung-hwa takes her moniker as Korea’s Madonna literally by taking on Madonna’s Truth or Dare image circa 1990; Seo In-young mimics Renee Zellweger’s Chicago look as Roxie Hart; and Jang Mi-hee styles herself after The Devil Wears Prada.

My vote for best styling goes to Kim Min-hee (here’s Sienna Miller as Edie Sedgwick, and the real-life Edie), though Uhm Jung-hwa’s pulled off her look pretty well, too (the hair! the scary cone bra!).

    Hey, these are pretty cool, but isn’t that supposed to be Velma (Catherine Zeta-Jones) from Chicago, not Roxie (Rene Zellweger)?

    I think it looks more like Velma too, but it’s identified as Roxie. (Maybe the black hair confuses the issue?)

    Amazing how Seo In Young and Uhm Jung Hwa doesn’t look trashy in this shoot. thank you Vogue for bringing the class out of these ladies.

    I usually do not like Korea’s Vogues spreads, but this one is very appealing. I LOVE KIM MINHEE’S headshot. It’s utterly glamorous in its imperfection, with her poised lips, and deliberately smudged eyeliner. It’s beautiful.

    Gong Hyo-jin’s and Ara’s pictures are nice. All of the pictures are amazing really.
    Oh how I envy Go Ara’s legs. *.* Heck, anyone who is taller then 5′2.

    I think the Geisha picture is the best! The Go Ara picture is alright, maybe it’s because she’s trying to pose as Serena that’s why it looks awkward because she’s too skinny or shorter.. . I don’t know. Not that I’m saying that Blake Lively is fat or anything. I personally think she’s gorgeous! I can’t wait for the next season! Go Ara’s picture is still pretty good. If they removed the Gossip Girl thing… So yeah.. because all I can think about is comparing the two actress. And they’re both good and amazing!
    The hairstyle of the “Queen” is pretty good!

    I love Gong Hyo-jin’s memiors of a geisha concept and Go Ara’s Gossip girl, I watch the show and I’m looking forward to next season.
