"But strong acting? Sounds a lot better than the horrors I’ve had the time to recently view"

Producers did a terrific job casting the three main women of the show. For the most part, the characters are able to dial down the histrionics so it rarely feels like camp. Ji Soo, known for her elegant woman image, was an announcer for Entertainment Relay. Ji Soo plays an Evil (and yet miserable) version of Oprah, and to her credit, she's almost sympathetic. Jung Ae Ri is always playing suffering mother types; here she plays a chilling variation of it. Her character isn't a shrill, abusive stepmother; yet the looks she gives her adopted daughter will make your blood freeze.

Kang Ji Sub is great in a "OMG he's doing an impression of Jang Dong Gun from Friend." Like, it's almost fanboy the way he's gotten down the accent. I hope Binnie is half as entertaining as this guy! :D

Yay! Looking forward to recaps too.

I've been looking for something new to watch, but have been too busy lately. I've been pondering about "Women in the Sun" ever since I've heard that it's classic melodrama, as stated by Bird. But strong acting? Sounds a lot better than the horrors I've had the time to recently view[Prince Caspian, totally unrelated].

Back to the topic: At least she didn't injure her eye!

oh no! i really like lee hana.. hope she recovers soon! i watch women in the sun only because it's so melodramatic it's funny. can understand why the older generation'd love it though.. it has a very 90s' plot - good gets trodden on by bad, but eventually triumphs. love it when kim ji soo gives her evil eyes and no one else notices hehe.

the first two episodes of lawyers were pretty good. and unlike jippo, i think lee soo kyung's the best thing the drama has to offer. she's so adorable! can't say i really like the idea of lee sung jae ending up with her.. hmm.

Ouch. Accidents on set seem to be occuring quite often lately. I wonder how they're going to cover the injury. Put a bandaid under her eye? (I also noticed in the last couple episodes of 3 dads 1 mom, Jo Hyun Jae also had a bandaid under his eye. Did he hurt himself like Lee Hana?) But hopefully it wont leave a scar. An actresses' face is extremely important to her (and others).

Lawyers of Korea seems awfully underrated. I didn't even realized it started airing until someone told me. Can't wait for you to do caps on it. :)

I found "Lawyers of Korea" to be entertaining, particularly because of Lee Sung Jae and Roo Soo Young's characters (+ some of the secondary characters), but I can't say that I love the lead (Lee Soo Kyung). However, I believe that could just be my personal hang-ups with her surfacing.

I tried to watch "Women in the Sun" and continue to catch glimpses/clips of the show, as my parents seem to enjoy it, but the scary mother (played by Jung Ae Ri) is just too prominent a character---I can't bear watching her, she gives me the chills!
