In anticipation of the upcoming Beijing Olympics, In Style’s August issue features this “Go, Korea!” spread with celebrities posing as athletes in support of Korea’s Olympic team.
On the bike is pop singer Kim Hyun-jung; members of pop group Jewelry pose pose with handballs; former pop singer and now actress Jeon Hye-bin takes on the role of a track-and-field athlete; Yi San actor Han Sang-jin takes to the basketball court; and singer Koo Jun-yup (aka DJ Koo) reportedly spent over an hour in the water to get this swim shot.

I like the swimming shot.
So when did athletes dress so prettily?
can’t wait for the beijing olympics to start.. only 2 weeks & counting down..
why is that girl from Jewelry wearing the UK flag? for Korea? -_-;
i love the track picture.
LOL, enkhee, after I read your comment I went back to look at the picture and noticed her shirt. Yea, I really like the track picture too.
I love these updates on the photo shoots that are often held and put into Korea’s magazines. One of my favorites is the one where Korea’s female stars dressed up as famous international stars. (Especially Go Ara as Blake Lively/Serena van der Woodsen.)
Thanks for all the updates Java! (on everything)
why didn’t they just use the real athletes as models???
I agree bebo! It’s stupid that they didn’t use actual athletes especially for an OLYMPIC issue! What an insult! And Jewelry?! Come on! Athletes do not look like skanks!
yes, why not the real athletes who have been training hard and have real bodies instead of photo shopped looking ones. These pictures look like tacky Versace ads. I can’t stand the first and second pictures especially the second one. She looks like she’s getting ready for something else instead of getting ready to run.
I agree, the magazine should have used the real Korean athletes for the photo spread.
But since they didn’t, I wish they had asked So Ji Sub to do the swimming shot.
He is a medalist in swimming, after all.
ehehe, I wonder DJ Koo can actually swim butterfly ^_^
Eh, I’d prefer a peek at the real deal (actual athletes) but I guess if promotion is the idea then using celebrities isn’t a bad idea.
im going to have to agree with enkhee..
i get it, it’s the Olympics, sportsmanship and all.. but the outfits.. isn’t that like they’re actually representing Canada, Germany, Britain.. and sorry.. what’s that.. green, white.. and orange.. Ireland..? O_o
i like the soccer shot
wooo hooo!
