Thanks for the recap. So far, I'm not finding this series very scary, but it is entertaining to watch. ^_^

I admit to being a bit confused though. I just watched this episode, and I didn't see anything to suggest that anger (aside from the full moon) is what activates a fox's transformation. When Seo Ok failed to turn into the fox, I thought it was just like the elders and Myung Ok said -- she wasn't one. They even said this has happened before, and that it's a natural part of the process: Sacrifices are made in their quest to protect their clan and to stop the foxs' from reaching maturity.

And sure, Seo Ok is sweet and kind... but I doubt all the other cases who failed to transform in the past would have been as understanding. I mean, what's more likely -- those who didn't transform in the past were NOT foxes -- or that those who never transformed just weren't angry enough? If I know anything about human nature, it's that no matter how sweet and kind you may appear to be -- nothing can create anger issues like being killed at the hands of your family. Just look at Yin Ok -- she *haunted* hers. Besides, if anger and a full moon is all that's needed to activate the transformation, why didn't Myung Ok transform sooner -- like when she watched them throw her sister down the well? I know she must have been shocked and surprised -- but really, anger must have been there *somewhere*.

In the end, I was more confused over how Myung Ok was able to become the fox. For one thing, I thought they had to reach adulthood by having their period before the transformation was even possible -- and yet, to my knowledge, she had yet to start hers. She could have started shortly after Seo Ok and kept it a secret (which is really the only thing that makes sense), but we were never shown this, right? Her anger may have been what set the transformation in motion... but if they're able to transform before reaching adulthood, then what's even the point of the "test" and the whole wedding trick?

Thanks everybody!

About the Grandma and Yin Ok's mother - I believe that only certain members of the clan are given the info - those who show reluctance (like the youngest guy cousin) aren't told the biggest secrets, and those who are too fond of the girl (like Yin Ok's mother) aren't told at all or until it's too late - and I think the first daughter-in-law only had sons, so she's perfectly okay with killing her nieces for the good of her own sons.

The trigger would be mainly anger. Those who transform, like Yin Ok and Myung Ok, feel betrayed by their own family and turn on them (which gives us a nice little paradox to think through - if they didn't enact all these rituals, the girls might just go through life as normal people with only the potential). I think Seo Ok was just shocked and sad - she's always been the kindest in the family.

It's entirely possible the dead bride's black mark is from them harvesting her organs. I'm not too sure with my own interpretation, because that shot creeped me out. -.-

Thanks for the recap :D! I'm thrilled you're covering this series!

But I was wondering if you could answer 2 more questions...
1.) I was wondering about the transformation thing ^^ Anger being the trigger makes much more sense. So her sister didn't transform b/c. she was just not angry enough?

2.) Also, did the Dead Bride actually die? Then why did that black mark grow on her? When I saw it i thought the 'black mark' was actually the opening on her torso where they took out her organs...
