I really enjoyed your recaps. Thank you for taking your time to post. Since I'm too much of a scary cat to actually watch it, reading your recaps is next best thing for me!!!

well... i do think that hometown thus far has been quite sexist... and since i get my kdrama fix from chinese forums, i have been seeing those comments around too. the ghost in the next episode is male, so maybe we'll start seeing some other tropes appearing... but then again, there have always been some kinds of sexist undertones in korean dramas, IMHO, so its not surprising to see it here.

Sajingeom refers to special swords cast in the year of the dragon. It was meant to bring fortune in to the household that kept the sword as a good luck talisman. It was also believed to cast away evil spirit.

Regarding casting: It is indeed Daejoyoung guy, aka the sageuk specialist Choi Su-jong. Cee, nope it's not Lee Yoon-mi. Jess, yes she's Sa Kang, also of Soulmate. (The ep also featured Lee Jung, pop singer and sometime actor.)

Is she the girl from Soulmates? That would be amazing, haha.

By the way, this is my first comment on this site. I love your recaps. It's the first series I've read without watching the show too, and so far, I don't mind. <3 (Reading these at night are scary, too.)

This reminds me a bit of the Chinese series Liao Zhai Qi Nu Zi ( http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Liao_Zhai_Qi_Nu_Zi ) where most of the ghosts were also women :)

Thanks for the summary. Yet to watch the drama. Happy to know that the ending is good and not much killing.
