I know this is a super-old review, but I just wanted to say that I really, really enjoyed reading these as I was watching the episodes online recently. I randomly stumbled onto this blog through a google search for Chil Woo. Your reviews/writing style is really funny and pretty spot-on to the things I thought while watching the show. I will definitely come back to read more!

Ditto @ Lineth the Great... I can't wait for next week to watch it on KBS World too. I said this before but while it's a happy ending in the sense that the bad guys are dead and our heroes are alive, I had hope that the director would end it with a CW and SY moment, be it a kiss, marriage, anything really that shows us that they did end up together, rather than letting us imagining it... did CW and SY finally lived in that dilapidated house together? Did they get the animals and the garden that Chul Seok wanted?

thanks for sharing your thoughts regarding the whole episodes. I like Yoo Ah In here. Yeah, he will probably get more exposure and more nicer projects in the future. I liked his role here. I enjoyed watching chilwoo, probably because it was somehow like an anime style of plot like Hong Gil Dong. It has a plot combinations of zorro, hong gildong and Iljimae. I like the drama and enjoyed it as well. It may not be one of the greatest but the stunts rules! Especially when the skateboarding thing you related and also I liked some of the fight scenes. Especially Heuksan's swordsman skills. Like what I typed and mentioned that I'm a big fan of anime plot storylines and as well as samurai flicks. Watching a drama and enjoying how the storyline and everything in it depends on the person's likes and dislikes. Likewise to me, I enjoyed it really. Every person have different Likes and dislikes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts once again and Take Care!

I read the recaps but wasn't going to pick this up until way later when i really had nothing to watch. Then Lee On... poor dude. SO i started this since it's his last drama ever. Makes me sad to see him on screen esp on that ep 4 where he talked about death.
On the bright side....well... at least CW didn't die like the others ( HGD, iljimae) That in my book made it the better drama. I'm just not fond of those martyr type heros.

Great review! Great job!
I just finished watching the series. Love Yoo Ah-in's performance.
Without him, this series wouldn't be worth watching.
Thanks

still haven't watched a single ep of this drama, though i've been reading your recaps from ep 1 to the end. To say I enjoy visiting your site would be an understatement. I might really watch this when it comes out with subtitles. The way you write and anticipate the magical hour prompts me to give this drama a try. and yah, to see how han seuk here outdoes the chang wei of hong gil dong. by the still pics it seems he does act way better than the chang wei. Thank you much and am looking forward to your reviews... may be i'd start reading gourmet then, you seemed to have picked up on that. Thanks once again.
