If the companies are brave enough to poison their products, they wouldn’t declare it on the packaging. It’s horrible to see that nothing was done until the New Zealand Prime Minister actually contacted China, and that China is throwing more distractions to divert this issue literally into space.

and im like

and then of course there goes Kang all caring and asking ‘what happened?’(thats the only krn i know LOL.) gyah! her hearing?! T_T i mean, she was just kidding in the subway(or mall?) in the first ep to get GunWoo as trumpet but FOR REALS?!

*sigh* you’re right.this IS too much.

I don’t think I will watching this drama even though reading the cap and comments from everybody. Didn’t think it will make my date. Hope to talk with you guys/gals in other dramas (EOE, Love and Marriages, City of Glass and Tazza).

Kim Myeong Min is totally awesome. He’s acting is the only reason why i’m watching this series. I have to say, it’s Kim who is carrying the entire series.

Actually, Melamine IS used in fertilizers (as well as plastics). It’s high in nitrogen, which gives the appearance of more protein, in this case added by suppliers along with cancer causing formaldehyde to cover up watered down milk. Also, there’s been some talk that they’ve been adding animal urine and skin for years, for the same reason. (Yuck!)
SanLu, the company that produces the formula, received complaints around March, knew for sure in July. The Kiwis found out on August 2 and told their gov’t which in turn told the Chinese gov’t who of course kept mum about it until well after the Olympics.

Corny and overdramatic it may be, but the actors are worth watching (especially KMM, who is really, really good) – plus the OST is one of the better ones from a non-sageuk.

@ ames4eva: uh, GTFO is short for ‘Get The Fudge Out’. (Alas at having a bit of a gutter mouth.)

@ zero2303: I know that it’s melamine – my mini-rant is actually an amalgam from seeing waaaaay too many incidents of this kind in China (a while ago it was just fake powdered milk – made of flour, I think). And I don’t give a rat’s ass if the government is embarrassed, they deserve worse for trying to cover this up. That, btw, also includes the New Zealand govt if they were involved.

They’re feeding this to babies, for heaven’s sake! And I’m not anti-China, just anti-stupid-minded greed (among other things).
