Thanks for the entertaining recap dahee!!! Although, I must say Jeong Hyang isn’t a “lesbian Kisaeng” yet…frankly I think it’s Yoon Bok that’s misleading and exploring this kind of relationship. With all the romanticized talk of flowers and butterflies. (I have a feeling butterflies will play an interesting representation of Yoon Bok.) The kisaeng is an innocent gal who’s yearning for the right time to get swept off her feet. *Gosh…this reminds me of those old school Chinese swordplay dramas with gals cross-dressing as dudes and a romantic relationship develops. I can’t wait to see how this drama unravels with that kind of relationship.

I love this drama insanely and now I’m fully rooting for jeong hyang and yoonbok to be together even though!-that’s impossible. T_T

MGN is so convincing as a boy, I swear I sometimes forgot myself that shes a girl. Her low pitch as a boy is VERY convincing. I wish more people loved this drama, I feel like it isn’t getting the recognition it deserves.

With the sensitive concept of “gender” here and about lesbianism, it will definitely be “for the sake of art” and done in a delicate way not in some cheap or exploitative manner. It is not of vulgarity but of the harsh reality and predicament that MGY is in the story. So inspite of her situation in the story she (or “he” the character) has to carry it out in such grace and brilliance.

i can’t remember.. how MGY used to sound like before.. but her voice can pass off as a boy….
sometimes i really can forget MGY is a girl well done..
