I once heard Park Ki Young and Horan sing a ballad in one of PKY’s concerts, and I thought they sing well together. I was really looking forward to their song until I realized this is too upbeat and mainstream~ T__T; Atleast it has a bit of indie flair to it (something about it reminds me of Ibadi’s album), or maybe it’s just me thinking that way. XD

EDIT// oh! I just noticed in the picture that PKY is wearing that Vivienne Westwood ring which is exactly the same as Horan’s! How cool~

@tasu, in consumerism if there’s a demand people will try to milk/supply it. in japan the avenues for packaging name brand/idol/products have rather longer history. if someone with established fanbase like lee byung-hun tries to expand in japan, he automatically attached to a product (car), a song he “sings”, and said song released on CD with other image-related paraphernalia. it’s all part of grooming the fanbase. japanese idols have been doing this all the way back to immediately after the war (starting with hibari misora?) even actors who sing badly put out albums (hiroyuki sanada!)

“ne-way”, i like this song. horan/PKY do the 60s, grandiose pop style very well. those speedy netizens will be even more awesome if they volunteer in unsolved cases for korean police

Like in another country, Korea’s entertainment world can’t be detached from “follow the mainstream” culture. When Salad Song sang by Yoon Eun Hye become a hit, other company begin to follow by featuring some catchy song in their CF, some of them even make the CF star singing the song (although the star wasn’t a singer). I think this tendency can be positive since the CF can make some old song become popular again. But what if the star couldn’t sing, I think it will be a pressure for them…
