As part of the Korea Drama Festival, three actors gathered to show off their musical talents at the Drama Concert special boasting “three men, three different shades.”
The three drama leading men were picked from the dramas on the three different stations, with Jang Geun-seok from MBC’s Beethoven Virus, Jang Hyuk from SBS’s Tazza, and Kim Sung-soo from KBS’s Bad Love.
We’ve heard Jang Geun-seok sing before, and while I wouldn’t agree with the media’s description of his “outstanding singing ability,” he can reasonably hold a tune. He’ll be featured on an additional track of the Beethoven Virus, singing a version of the song “들리나요” (Do you hear?), which was originally sung by Tae Yeon of Girls Generation (posted here).

Every time I see Jang Geun Suk in (arguably) his non-drama clothes, I have the urge to kill his stylist. What does he think he’s wearing?

What happened to JGS’s face??I noticed he’s having pimple problems…too bad!he is still as cute as ever though…
JGS-why is he such a horrible dresser. and as for his face- maybe the pimples that usually go with puberty were delayed. I used to have really clear skin in my teenage years and now i get 4-5 pimples a month. And I like JGS’s voice- better than some of the kpop singers out there- but i hope he will remain in dramas instead of pursuing a singing career.

I’m glad that I’m not the only (superficial) person to notice and mention JGS’s ajumma outfit. When they look in the mirror, doesn’t he (and the legions of other Korean male actors that wear feminine fur coats or fur like trim clothing) that they look like old fuddy duddy grannie! Or am I just being snarky?

Someone else recently commented on JGS’ skin, though I can’t remember where (in one of the Beethoven Virus recaps, maybe?). Right now, I’m on a Hong Gil Dong kick, and I’m watching pretty much an episode or two on DVD every day. In some shots, it looks as though JGS’ complexion is perfect, and in some shots, you can clearly see that it isn’t. His skin could well have gotten worse between then and now, but make-up, lighting, and digital alterations so easily trick the eye that he probably never had great skin to begin with.

to add insult to injury (literally and figuratively):
i think jgs is just trying to veer (really) away from his pretty boy image.
he should have made it a subtle transition instead of making it look like he was in hurry to get out of it.
