@tokai - tsubaki's character is the kick ass type. She is Domyouji's sister and the only person to whom Domyouji is afraid of. She bullies Domyouji around but is very affectionate towards Makino. She is also to be credited for helping the two of them get together despite their mother's protests.

tokai....Tsubaki character doesn't appear very much but her appearance is important in the show. I don't know how the korean producer will do it but so far in the Japanese and Taiwanese version Tsubaki doesn't have a lot of screentime as compared to other characters.

As for the payment, I'm glad she is standing up to what she should be paid.

This is sad... and compared to what actors get in the US not even very much money.

Apropos Boys Over Flowers, I hope she will get enough screentime there. After all I'm going to watch this show because of her only. I'm not so much interested in watching this 4 idol guys from some boy group (or something). :-P

Anyone who watched the original or other versions can say something about how often we can expect to see the Tsubaki character?

The first obligation of any business organization is to make payroll. There is no interest, from a public standpoint, in any other part of the organization outside of the product. The commitment, having been duly met by the consigned talent, bears no further reponsibility from said talent beyond collecting the agreed upon payment and awaiting the next project. There is a chain of command here. Complaints and grievences travel up the chain. Unless the obligations of the talent are not met, they never, ever, travel down the chain. Miss Kim fulfilled her obligation with noteworthy aplomb and was selected or nominated for several post-production awards by the industry. In short, her company has no leg to stand on. Future monies lost lost due to the certain lack of trust afforded by fellow and future actors and actresses (resulting in a dearth of stars willing to work for less than that of the agreed upon amount) in a company that bites that hand that feeds them this way, will make the pittance withheld from this talented actress appear but a drop in the bucket.

Were I one of the shareholders of this crew, I would think very long and hard about how I chose to treat the geese that lay the golden eggs. Either that start trading in my fleet of Limos for some of those high mileage economy models like the rest of us either are, or will soon be driving...
