The teaser poster is out for the upcoming “Chaser-like” cell phone thriller called, well, Cell Phone. While I didn’t care for the U.S. film Cellular, the plots don’t look TOO similar; and though the story doesn’t sound all that exciting on first glance, it stars actors I do like: Uhm Tae-woong and Park Yong-woo.
In the movie, Uhm (You’re Far Away, Devil) plays an entertainment company CEO who “can’t live without his cell phone.” He loses the device by accident (of course), after which he receives a message threatening to make nefarious use of the information contained therein. The cat and mouse game ensues as Uhm’s character searches for Park (Once Upon a Time, My Scary Girl), known merely as the “Bad Guy,” whose intentions remain a mystery and masked by his clever maneuvering.
The film is directed by Paradise Murdered‘s Kim Han-min and set for a February 2009 release.

Uhm TaeWoong in a thriller!!!!! I’m a big fan of Resurrection and The Devil….and I can’t wait to see Uhm TaeWoong in another thriller…. I like him a lot, but I personally think tt he’s more suitable for gritty characters like the one he had in Devil as well as Resurrection….
There’s just something lacking in his performance whenever he plays innocent, good guys >.<~~ his charisma just doesn’t really shine when he plays such roles…so I’m really looking forward to this movie^^~~
