Lee Min-woo is wrapping up the year with a twofer — a two-part concert, that is.
On December 31, he’ll put on the M Rizing Tour Step 3 — Adieu 2008, a night of two performances. The first, at 7pm, to send off 2008, while the second at 11pm rings in the new year. The concerts will be held at Seoul’s Yonsei University.
Min-woo expressed his and the Shinhwa guys’ wish to have put on a group concert, but with two of its members currently in the army (Kim Dong-wan and Eric), that wasn’t possible. Three more of the group members await their call to duty — Min-woo, Jun Jin, Andy — while Shin Hye-sung has the sole exemption due to injury.

Is Shin Hye-Sung exempt from ALL duty? Even from serving in the offices?

Jane, yes…Shin Hye Sung is exempted from all army duties due to injury.
I thought Andy was the only son.
cosmopolite – Andy is the only son in the family. If you’re implying as to why he has to serve the army, even only sons serve. Dongwan is the only son (and only child) and is serving right now… He’s got a desk job because of it, I think… (though being a celebrity might or might not also have something to do with it.)
I think Shinhwa had always done year end concerts. It would have been cool to see them perform if they had been complete. I had always enjoyed watching their performances.
