The (adorably baby-faced) Park Ki-woong) is the latest addition to the drama Story of a Man, which follows Boys Before Flowers on KBS.
The 24-year-old, most recently of cable drama Seoul Warrior Story and last year’s romantic-comedy series Love & Marriage, joins already cast actors Park Yong-ha (The Scam), Park Shi-yeon (La Dolce Vita), and Philip Lee (Legend) in this revenge drama.
The series sets its story in the world of cutthroat corporations (mergers and acquisitions specialists, to be exact); Park Ki-woong’s character is a bit of an eccentric, but aids Park Yong-ha’s character in the latter’s plan to avenge his ruined father. More than the cast or director, however, Story of a Man will be an interesting drama to keep an eye out for on account of its scriptwriter, Song Ji-nah of Sandglass and Legend.
None of the actors strikes me as particularly stand-out on their own, although put together it’s a decent cast. Park Ki-woong is still a relatively new face, but I did enjoy him in Love & Marriage and When Night Comes, and it’ll be interesting to see if he develops into a more well-rounded actor with this serious role, instead of being just another pretty face.
