Thank you for your work. It carried me through some tedious moments of this series. I don't know if I like the story - everybody was so keen to abandon music for any other thing, but at the end of the day they were the ones surprised by the consequences. Tiresome. But the Maestro was cool, and the scene in this episode with Ru Mi was simple, but elegant. Plus, she doesn't break and cling which is surprising in the kdramaverse.

Thank you,

Beethoven Virus is my favorite drama of all time. I've watched a lot already. 92 titles? Still few.

But same as what others say. KANG MAE DURUMI moments still.

I'm such a late bloomer in finding a good drama..i found this drama in this time of year.yet,i love it..just like someone said before, its about pursuing dreams and the failure..yet,it works realistically.i experienced the melancholy of it..thats why i think i can relate to the characters..thats how fiction works, right.it's really rare (frm other kdramas that i watched)to see people come together from their vulnerabilites in surviving and reaching dreams.i love how the drama built the collectiveness..and JGS,of course.i watched YAB first,so this one made me see him differently..it has some flaws, but i enjoy it.love it.i takes me to a different world..

I still kept watching BV everyday...esp the scenes between Kang Mae & Ru Mi. Very inspiring..
Love the part 5- the concert. I'll pay the ticket to watch KMM as a Maestro ...conducting an orchestra, if he decided to change career in the future..hehe

I know it's an old post, but I have to say this somewhere relevant:

Wow.

Beethoven Virus has made me roll my eyes a lot; there are plenty "wth" moments, like what's up with Kang Mae's random and unexplained 'muscle pain' in his arm? Huh? There's also plenty of "oh noes! He's leaving...AGAIN." And, wait, did Kang Mae really kill his mother?? Wth!

But it's also had some great moments, which I attribute more to the actors. Kang Mae is factually awesome. His 'performance' for the newly appointed governer goes beyond win. Ahjumma's (sorry, I forgot her name! heh..) solo performance was a great moment; Gun Woo is so warm I think JGS was perfectly cast.

Granddad plays his oboe in the subway station, looks over *twice* without recognizing them, and they just weep silently watching him. Ouch. Good moment, too.

Moments aside, I think this is the first time I've been impressed with an entire episode. After I finished it, I just sat back and sighed: it's like a quality meal.

I don't know if it needed 16 episodes of backstory to get a moving episode, but anyways I'm satisfied. ^^ (I also think the drama often tried too hard to get audience's tears, which left me lukewarm at best.)

Kang Mae's fantasy, with all the Mouse Orchestra members chatting happily by the seaside, made me cry. Actually, his answer to Du Ri Mi's question, "will this really happen for us?" made me cry. Because, I don't think so, either. It's just not likely, and this must be why Kang Mae lives only in his music.

The last scene was wrenching; I love JGS but watching Gun Woo cry like that made me feel nothing but maternal heartache. Don't cry!! TT.TT
