Jang Dong-gun (Taegukgi, Friend) has chosen his next film project: Good Morning, President [굿모닝 프레지던트], to be directed by Jang Jin of films My Son and Righteous Ties. Jang Jin also wrote the screenplay, which is described as incorporating elements of humor and satire in its depiction of society and politics.
This marks Jang’s film comeback in Korea; he’s been busy at work on his Hollywood debut, Laundry Warrior, but it’s been four years since his last Korean film, 2005′s Typhoon.
In Good Morning President, Jang plays a young, charismatic, and ambitious president. The film also features two other president characters, one who is elderly and at the end of his term of office, while the third appears as Korea’s first female president.
Aside from the fact that he is still very young to be acting presidential (he’s 36), woo, it’s Jang Dong-gun! Yes, please.
The film is scheduled to begin shooting in April.

Aw, if only this was a series instead! 4 years absent should be made up with a drama! A movie is too short, but it’s something, so that’s good too. However, the waiting period is going to be so long. Waiting for them to begin filming, then finish filming, to be released, then to DVD.. that sounds like a year there. ^^;
