Friday the 13th!! (Meaning: Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.)

I've got my weekend all divided up into various assignments and work - with a small anti-Valentine's party tomorrow, of course. :D

On a completely unrelated note: 13 year-old boy fathers baby. Pro-lifers are ecstatic, of course. I think I spent about 5 minutes yelling, 'OMFG!!1!'

Well, I am pregnant but thank God I am 30 and not 13 or 15!
I called this week: "Coping with pregnancy fatigue (while watching Boys Before Flowers)"...

#sevenses : geez i just see the news and could not believe in my eyes?!? how is he supposed to be a father with that 10 euro for pocketmoney? parents should be just parents sometimes not friends who agrees with what you have decided about your life. people pls act rationally!!!

@Sevenses

I had the exact same reaction. My co-worker showed me first thing this morning-I was really horrified.

I agree with the first commenter- busy, but always time for good recaps!
This weekend is definitely time for playing catch-up for all the things I let slide during the week~

At 57 I can't even go to that 13 year-old thought...

I have piles of work for the weekend. But I am really hoping to go back and watch Star's Lover from around Ep. 14 where I packed it in. I think I will enjoy that more now that I can move right through it. Then I can move on to Boys Before Flowers and Return of Iljimae. So thanks ahead of time for the recaps.

I don't have anything planned--but that's alright. Sometimes it's just nice to stay home, do nothing and recharge :D

The 13 yr old boy-daddy story is very sad to me. Really it will be the grandparents that raise the child. I find celebrating the situation very troubling. The octuplet story is also very difficult. Every way I look at it, I find her situation impossible to grasp. I try to keep an open mind, but in no way can I understand her. And, in this baby related conversation, I adopted both my children so I am thankful to their birth moms for giving my children life and choosing an adoption plan for them...something that can't be easy. I am totally into East of Eden these days, as over-the-top as it can be. I know well the love for a child that you didn't give birth to, and I also appreciate why the bloodline issue is important too. Tho I have raised my kids from infants, I understand that they may want to find their birth families one day. Hey Darcy, congrats on your pregnancy. Enjoy those k-dramas when you need a rest! Have a Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I get a date night tomorrow night :)

Had a busy week.
Gonna have an extra boring weekend.
Nothing is happening because no one wanted to hang out D;
And none of my friends like kdramas, so I come here to get my fill lol.

I'm a new reader, but I can't imagine how much you put into this.
I can't believe you post like more than once a day, so thank you a lot!
Hope you have a better weekend than me!

Hey Javabeans,

Noticed you got into Quantcast.

http://www.quantcast.com/dramabeans.com

The demographics mirrored my estimation of your audience but I was surprised to see how many people visit your website. Way to go!
This is quite an achievement: Your site manages to be both personal and professional at the same time.

Have a nice weekend!

My week was so so.. nothing new..

Hope you and everyone in this forum have a great valentine's day.. although I will be spending it alone.. trying to think of places to go that will stray away from couples but thats' going to be hard..

I currently live in a small town so not too many places I go to, compared to my hometown.

Anyways.. have a great weekend too!

I went in yesterday to get my teeth cleaned at the dentist's. Came out and found the rear of my car smashed in a hit and run. No note, nothing. What is the world coming to? Worst of all--the parking lost was pretty much empty so a completely incompetent asshole rammed his/her car/truck into my car. Now I have to worry about how to come up with the money for pay for this. I have insurance...but it is still a big chunk out of my nonexistent savings. And then there are mortgage and ridiculous gas bills, etc.

SO, I will spend the weekend rewatching BBF, lost in a happy, happy world. Ah, GJP! Sigh.

I'm having a pretty horrible day. First, I didn't get this job I was applying for, then I find out that Fly to the Sky is breaking up. I started crying, no joke. (I was a fan way back since 1999)

WORST DAY EVER

Re: 13 year old father news.

Shocking? Yes.

Surprising? No.

Sadly, Britain has one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in Europe. Kids having kids...it is unfortunate. I wonder what kind of quality of life this baby and its parents will have now?

On a completely different note, I saw 'The Good, The Bad, The Weird' last Sunday. I had a blast watching it! I'm so glad I got to see it on the big screen. God Bless Cineworld!

Oh Mr Bad you crazy loon,

Oh Mr Weird how you made me laugh,

Oh Mr Good how you made me swoon!

I'm no poet and I certainly know it. (;

I was just wondering Javabeans, if you would ever consider doing a classic (i.e. older) Kdrama recap? Not an episodic recap like you do with currently airing Kdramas, but more of a general overview. A look-back on older, but still popular dramas, and how they hold up in today's drama landscape. Perhaps it could be a weekly or monthly thing?

I would personally love to hear your thoughts on 'My Girl' and My name is Kim Sam Soon' , if it is at all possible.....

I don't know....Bad idea? Good idea? Impossible idea?

Happy Valentines Day to you all!
Not much for me to look forward to as I work tomorrow and Sunday. On Monday I have to attend a 2 day class "Caring and Sharing". I think it's to get in touch with my inner child. Well my inner child says screw the class I want to watch BBF! The outer adult also says screw the class but kid you're not watching BBF! Well ok maybe.
I've not read the story about the 13 yr old father so don't know the details . How old was the baby's mother? To me it's much sadder when the mother is 12 or 13 which happens all the time and doesn't hit the news.

The Korea Times is reporting that the heir of Samsung is facing a divorce from his wife.
Can you hear all the single women getting ready for the battle to win this could be divorced man's heart, or his wallet, lol.

a crazy week indeed...however even though I should be worrying about my finals...I'm trying to prepare my heart for the angst that will be BOF next week! (Like Ha Rim when is he saying bye to Eun Chan...like you I feel like revisiting Coffee Prince) I need to will myself ( like other JanDi/JunPyo shippers) through them! Clearly, I've grown attached to this drama.

thanks for the awesome recaps as always they are always a joy to read!

Have recently finished a very compelling read, not since Khaled Hosseini's,"The Kite Runner". "White Tiger" by Aravind Adiga is a witty parable of India's changing society. Fierce, angry and darkly humourous, it is a satire as sharp as it gets. "White Tiger" is truly deserving of the Man Booker prize (2008), a feat even more remarkable as it was Adiga's maiden effort in writing.

i for one miss sun & summer :( i've had a nasty cold for three weeks that's turned me into a walking zombie...barely made it through my classes & assignments this week...slept on my heating pad for four days straight & at one point even lost consciousness...too many cold drugs in my system :P

hey, i like that..."happy single awareness day"...i'm too sick to go out this valentine's anyway...i won't be too bitter that i'm single right now since i won't have to see couples all googly eyed together in restaurants or at the mall...

it's nice to know there are a few people in their 30s included in dramabeans demographic...my passion for kdramas will never die no matter how old i get...

& I CAN'T BELIEVE FTTS IS BREAKING UP!! my life is officially over now...

its funny coz i heard there's a "bitter ball" going on for single people in some bar here in our area.. my fellow single sisters and i were thinking of attending. but we settled on mexican food and watching the shopaholic movie. boy that quesadilla was delish! the movie was kinda a disappointment... i'm a really big fan of the book series and everything by the author. the only totally awesome part of the movie was hugh dancy! i'm currrently preparing to go on a date with him in my dreams (together with doctor chase from house). ahahaha :)

busy for me too, I didnt know that wedding coordinating could be really difficult especially if the groom is difficult. First time in my life, usually the brides are difficult.

I wonder where I could get a dvd copy with english subs of Boys Before Flower after all the episodes are aired, other than YES ASIA.

Happy Valentines DAy Java Beans. I dont know that you are also very relational to your audience/ readers.
