Kim Hyun-joo is always so pretty, whether she’s playing a rich third-generation chaebol (Boys Before Flowers), or a kind-hearted but damaged ex-convict (Insoon Is Pretty), or anything in between.
Here she is pictured in an upcoming issue of In Style, shot at a studio in Seoul’s Nonhyundong, using a “natural” and “youthful” concept.
The actress was most recently seen playing Lee Min-ho‘s older sister in the KBS drama Boys Before Flowers, and is currently looking for her new project. This spread will be featured in the fashion magazine’s May issue.

Are you kidding? She had lots of successful projects and is very popular. Glass Shoes was a huge hit (40% rating) and couple others were pretty good like Marrying a millionaire and Miss Kim makes a million.
Clothes are OK however, the posing can improve a little.
She is very pretty, however her face looks a little plastic surgery-ish, kind of like Kim Ah Jong’s.
I’m currently downloading Insoon Is Pretty. The title turned me off for a while but then I read your episode 1 description and got hooked.
Also I realized it starred Lee Wan and apparently he is well loved. I’ve only seen him in Tree Of Heaven (which I did not like at all. I don’t want to say hate because that’s a strong word, but it was pretty damn close to hate) and I want him to impress me in something.

Kim Hyun Joo was also female lead in Sang Do. Still very popular, but my impression was that she wanted to scale back her workload after Land. I kinda wished that the City of God project with Song Seung Heon actually went through.
Have missed Kim Hyun Joo since Insoon Is Pretty, and her stint on BOF was too brief. Hope she does another drama soon.

I really disliked her character in Marrying a Millionaire. So much so that it sometimes affects how I see her in other series.
