Hold on just a minute. I didnt see the side of young Bong-Soon being envious to younge Ji-ae. I recall from even the very first episode that displayed Bong-soon to be a supportive friend to Ji-ae. What I believe to perhaps be mistaken for envy is well Bong-soon displaying how powerless she is compared the most beautiful and popular girl Ji-ae, after the boyfriend stealing ceremony. I saw Bong-soon whom saw Ji-ae as someone to be better than or look better than if she was to get her the man of her dreams, Joon-hyuk. Whom was obviously the first to see her as someone other than perhaps an ugly shadow to Ji-ae.

I cant see why Javabeans saw Ji-ae as unlikeable or assumed she would be seen that way. I saw this to be a story of all types of women whom do things to try and be sucessful in life through their husbands. With Ji-ae, although her husband was a failure in financially supporting the family, and that she wasn’t too bright academically, she had only what desparate people would have, which is street smarts. Her role I saw as the old and typical saying goes, ‘its not what you know, but who you know’.
She to me, was much more smarter than Dal-soo and well also more smarter than the other characters in the series despite their position in power or academic qualifications.

Wow! How wrong you are!!!!!!!!!! Soooooo wrong! I just can’t believe how wrong you are. This show is amazing and is funny and has the added bonus of varying subplots and subtle underlevels. You can’t go wrong by watching this show!

I BELIEVE THAT JI AE SHOULD NOT BE SORRY AFTER ALL! Its not her fault is she’s beautiful and popular in high school! I can relate to here because I am to was an object of envy when I was in high school so I can’t blame her character! Those to be blame are the ENVIOUS “SECOND RATE TRYING HARD COPYCAT” like Bong Soon!

BONG SOON deserves ALL MISFORTUNES IN LIFE because she is an ENVIOUS PERSON! From the very beginning she envies JI AE! Her character PROVES that ONE CAN BE UGLY INSIDE AND OUT!
