I’m a bit slow on this I admit, I’ve only borrowed this DVD from a fellow friend yesterday and I’m only at episode 1…
And I can forsee that this story would be one which keeps me watching.
There are dramas, you know, you’d only see for the first few minutes and then skip at parts (on DVD) and fast-forward (online) just for exciting parts.
As for this show, I’m totally amazed how the very first episode get me hooked on it, and I’m so gonna complete all 20 episodes in a wink of an eye.
And Hyun Bin’s acting is awesome, though he only appears 10 minutes or so in the first episode…
This is the first time seeing him act bad (or evil? I don’t know).
But the portrayal of the cold-hearted man, the look in his eyes which reflects strong, strong hatred… Should really win him something in an award ceremony.
Props up ‘coz I’ve only see him acting as a sweet gentleman, but not one with so much angst.
I see Kim Min Joon too, though I don’t know what role is it he’s playing, but I’m sure on a lookout for him too — I’ve watched “In-soon is pretty” and “Tazza” (especially), his acting was fabulous.
So overall, good drama I’m forseeing.
Will be back after I’ve completed the whole series.
And you people should seriously check this drama out too!

as much as I love Hyunbin, I’m slightly worried about this one.
They have big shoes to fill with the actors and I feel like the cast for the drama doesn’t really have the amount of charisma the actors in the original movie did.
I still think I’m going to watch it and I hope them the best of luck.
They are going against Shining Inheritance and their 35% + ratings…

i’m so looking f/ward to this because of soo do young who i admired so much in spring waltz & of course hyun bin from mkss! although i’ve seen the orig. version with my other idol Jang dong gun, the story was good but i just didn’t appreciate the violence and am sure this movie or drama? won’t be any different.

Chapter 1

“Youzhen Ge, please come to my house immediately. Come by way of the back lane…hurry, PLEASE.” Shan Mei was crying and almost screaming down the phone, making sure she was heard above the sound made by the unrelenting rain beating down and the gusty winds roaring around her.

“Are you alright? What happened? Someone broke into your house?”

“Don’t ask any questions. Just come. And bring along your first aid kit, to stop bleeding, lots of blood…..buckets of it …”

Two days later, at some gangster’s hideout.

“How come Dong-su’s body was not found? The newspapers reported only 4 bodies found, but not Dong-su’s. What happened?”

“Boss, don’t you worry. He received several slashes on his back. I stabbed him good in the front, twisting the knife the way you taught us to. He was bleeding so bad with so many knife slashes, there is no way he could have remained alive. Our members also hacked at his henchmen who were trying to help.”
