I think another reason for Coffee Prince’s success in not bringing down the cheater is because they don’t hugely emphasize that Chae Jung Ahn’s character cheated. But anytime Su-in is in the picture all the reader can think about is “…oh, she cheated on Hwal”. Chae Jung Ahn’s was much more in depth and highly developed as a character.

great scenes in this episode – my fav one was the scene between su-in and hye-jin. i think i felt empathy for her ever since her mom showed up in the series – to have your mom so invested in your future and harping on you, i can imagine the toll on hye-jin.

i feel the exact way about the characters. honestly i never felt anything for lee jung jae but i’m glad he’s this drama. he seems so mature and warm-hearted in his own secretive way. i really don’t like lee ha na. once i found out she slept with her ex, i was done with her. i think i’m a hypocrite when it comes to girls and infidelity but as a girl, of course i’m gonna favor the guys! AND sang hee is getting annoying yet i still have ounce of kindness towards her character.

i think your issue is with Lee Hana’s character more than the actress, i kind of feel the same, but it seems like maybe she won’t be so gloomy later on cause right now she is separated or divorced & she had an affair, so it wouldn’t seem right of her to seem really happy and jump to the first opportunity to be with Hyun Tae especially since her relationship with Hwal is still in the denial/grieving phase. also with so many happy characters there has to be someone who isn’t, that would be more realistic. Su-in reminds me of Chae Jung Ahn’s Coffee Prince character around the same point in the drama too, i kind of didn’t enjoy her character, but not until the middle/end of the series.

I know it’s a little late, since everybody has seen up to ep 4, I just finished watching it, and I fall in love!!
Haru is cute like a puppy – and Wal is cute too!!! How could it sleep with only half body on the bed! – and the way Hwal treats her is also like to a puppy.
So, I hope they won’t be paired. NO. Poong Ho is cute too, and I can see them together, I want him gets more screen time!!!!!

Ugh. After got bit depressed ( not that I mind ) with Story of A Man, this is definitely a refresher to mind. The atmosphere of the drama is nice, you can’t help just grinning while watching it.

Btw, which character that supposed to be Kang Ji Hwan’s? Hwal? Well even though I would be happier if KJH didn’t drop this, but I think Lee Jung Jae potrays Hwal – the grumpy but care oppa better. KJH maybe would fit as Hyun Tae.. BUT, I’m not complaining here. The casts are perfect – even Lee Hana as Su In, I also bit dislike her, but still – and I hope KJH will find another good role for him.
Yay!

( this is the first Kdrama I watched without sub, thanks for your recaps I understand about what’s going on, and I really enjoy it! )

Even though Lee Jung-Jae seems awesome as Hwal, just considering the love dynamic between him and Haru kind of makes me wish Kang Ji-hwan still had the part, just cause I envision him and Min Hyo-rin as working out better as a couple.

Also the age gap kind of reminds me of Coffee Prince, but of course the gap between Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun-Hye there wasn’t as big (24 to 30 as I recall).

Regarding ages: I believe Haru is 19 (or thereabouts) and Hwal is 34. This is Korean age; so by Western count, that would be 18 and 33. Oh, and Poong-ho is a university student.
