She is my favorite Korean actress. I became a fan after watching What Happened in Bali and Hwang Jin Yi.

I’ve only liked her dramas so far and none of her movies, but she’s still one of my favourite actresses. I think her looks are average but she has great screen presence (at least in dramas, lol).

HJW is not the most beautiful k/actress in the industry but she is one comsumming actress who put all her effort in her works.

I actually like her professionism in her work attitude.

Hope her movie will be recognised some day with an award.

Maybe it’s just me but I find her acting very annoying. I think she tends to overact and I don’t know why but I can never enjoy or feel for any of her characters. I’ve watched many dramas with her in them but I always have to fast forward her parts…. One of my favorite movie is daddy long legs but I swear, I almost couldn’t finish it because of her acting… I love the storeline tho…

I am leery of Korean disaster movies, only because budget wise, to get the proper CGI, I don’t know if the movei budgets will allow it to go all the way. I thought the Host was an amazingly well-done monster movie, but only because pretty much 100% of the CGI budget went to the creature, and coupled with great script and acting, it was a bonanza of yummy sci-fi goodness. I wonder how realistic the tsumani and flooding scenes will turn out?

I like Ha Ji Won (second Samsooki here – she looks great with short hair, and seems to have really lost the baby roundness she sported in What Happened in Bali – I have a love/hate relationship with that drama – which requires a dissertation to sort out). But Ha Ji Won has a very strong presence on screen, she’s not drop-dead gorgeous, but she’s very alluring, womanly, definitely not frail and insipid. I predict she will be great in Haeundae as a woman confronting insurmountable disaster.

She looks really good. Reminds me a little of kim haneul, which Is weird because they don’t look alike and in the drama where they were both leads (2001, secret), they had opposite characters.

All the best to her, her continued success. I hope her movies turn out really well.
