I do not like horror movies/dramas at all, but I might give his one a try. I like that Lee Seo Jin stars in it. He seems to choose projects that are different, and some are high rated. An indication of the appeal of his dramas is the number of them that YA Entertainment has licensed.

I too have experienced sleep paralysis, but it always (and only) happens when I stay with a cousin who lives in Mexico City. Regardless of the house she lives in at the time. It is a really frighting experience. In my case, praying helps me snap out of it.

@Porcelain

I used to experience sleep paralysis (aka Old Hag Syndrome) a lot when I was younger. I couldn't scream either, and in some case couldn't even breathe and felt like I was dying. Then eventually, somehow, I snap myself out of it, and regain the ability to move again. I was told this happens when you're unfit, unwell, or as you said -- too stressed. But I prefer to believe that it's actually a demon or an "Old Hag" that presses down on you rendering you immobile ;)

Last years' Hometown Legends was very PG-13, most of the episodes revolved around themes of revenge, guilt and loss, and there's nothing really disturbing or horrific. It was a very family orientated horror series and I would expect both HL2009 and Hon to follow suit. Nothing to be afraid of! And yes, life itself is a lot scarier than any scary movie.

hmmm...how would they rate this one? PG-no chickens? Anyway, I'm not a fan of this genre. Isn't life in itself scary enough? Ya...what's with this flux of horror movies and dramas?

@ samsooki... you are hilarious... You are right, I never understand why dogs in Korea goes "mung-mung" and the Korean cow ad is hysterical...

There is quite a bit of personal experiences... I share mine too, tecnically its not a spooky experience but it is scary all the same..

I have been experiencing sleep paralysis quite a bit and its really tiring... coz somehow Asian believes its techinically being "pressed" by a spirit... I was just telling my Dad that I can't scream when it happens.... and he was like, why do you want to scream? And I was like... I am panicking, screaming seems the best way to release the fear... And I normally wake up, eyes wide open, thinking that I have let a voice out of my throat... I think I am just too stressed.

On the other hand... hmmpt... Lee Seo Jin the hearthbreaker... I don't understand why wouldn't he come clean about his breakup to Kim Jung Eun... I feel bad for Kim Jung Eun... but back to the drama... it seems it has became a trend for summer horror flicks to invade not just the cinema but the small screen too...

Even though I get scared easily, I still love to watch horror movies so I will definitely check Hon out next Wednesday.

Talking about horror stories, I'm totally convinced that my workplace is haunted. Whenever I'm in the restroom, I get this eerie feeling that someone is in there with me even though I know that I'm all alone. Then, I found out a few of my coworkers had similar experiences. One of my coworker arrived early to work one day and was all alone at her desk when she heard a noise that sounded like someone was typing on the computer keyboard on the next aisle. She asked if anyone was there and no one answered. She went to the next aisle and no one was there. Another person heard a loud noise that sounded like a drawer was slammed shut but she knew she was all alone. We were talking about our experiences when someone mentioned that our workplace was a morgue back in World War II. I didn't really believe her so I googled most haunted places in the city where we work and our workplace popped up. Needless to say, I always make someone go with me to the restroom from then on.

Hon looks really promising but I won't set my standards high, it IS a drama afterall, I highly doubt it'll be "psychotically and gory creepy", I'll make sure to watch it more as a thriller with a bit of blood splatter. Is it me or are korean horror directors fascinated by lesbian relationships within friends. Whispering Corridors....and Hon shows really close friendship. I can't wait to see it though ^^

@7 sayroo
You're absolutely right, lol MBC's anniversary dramas are always powerhouses and behemoths. The station always know which storyline will attract or make addicts out of viewers . The monday-tuesday timeslot has always been won by MBC ever since East of Eden took it (Yi San was a powerhouse too but When It's At Night broke the chain)

I really hope HON brings MBC success, afterall they were a bit in the "economic trouble" zone. Then again, Yoon Eun Hye's drama might surely beat it.

I've noticed that KBS doesn't take up any complex storyline on it's channel ;L nothing like EoE, StS....just a couple of action dramas, and rom com/////
