Jang Geun-seok admits to crush on Ha Ji-won

Back in 2006, Jang Geun-seok was a baby-faced, 2119-year-old actor transitioning into more adult roles in the hit KBS sageuk drama Hwang Jini, which starred Ha Ji-won as the famous gisaeng. (Okay, he’s still baby-faced.) Three years later, he has admitted to an old crush on his noona co-star back when they played mutual first loves in that drama.
He made the confession at the taping of an upcoming episode of KBS’s Entertainment Weekly, in response to the question, “Have you ever fallen in love while filming?” He answered yes, saying, “When I was filming Hwang Jini, I had a one-sided crush on Ha Ji-won noona. … She’s so beautiful and kind that a person can’t help but fall for her.”
He also named Lee Byung-heon as the actor he’d most like to be like, explaining, “I’m envious of Lee Lee Byung-heon, who displayed such unforgettable acting in the movie Bittersweet Life.”
The segment airs on the August 29 broadcast of Entertainment Relay. Jang Geun-seok’s latest film, Itaewon Murder Case, opens on September 10.

Yes! Ha Ji Won is a very kind lady. I saw in 1 NG about a movie she was doing boxing, she even cried and stopped fighting when she thought she hurt the other girl in a boxing match . The PD had to persuate her many times to continue fighting . No wonder , he felt in love and had very good chemistry with her in Hwang Jin Yi (:

I love these juicy secrets!! SPILL!! That had one kind of love in that drama!! I cried my bucket too.... if only!!!! HJW was very talented and beautiful in that drama too!! She have great chemistry with her leading men too...

i LOVED that couping in Hwang Jinyi.
They portrayed such a pure, innocent love... they were so fresh and hesitant... i cried buckets when he died...
It was so beautiful. Even though I wasn't blown away with his acting, the asthetics along with the music just made it so wonderful for me.

Um...actually, considering he was born on August 4, 1987....he would've only been 19 in 2006. (or 20 in korean years i think).

Mr. Italiano: you have to consider that Korea calculates age differently. therefore, i think 21 would be correct.
and never watched hwang jini but he looks super cute in the picture!! and ha ji-won is so pretty!

I love Jang Geun Suk! He's been acting since he was a little
boy and to see him grow up on TV as well as in films.
I am glad that he like any boy his age would have a

Jang geun sook is one of my favorite actors in Korea & i can't help but put a smile on my face reading this as i think it's so cute for him to admit his crush on noona Ha ji won who is one of the prettiest actresses in Korea! I've seen most of his projects, the latest of which of course was Beethoven Virus where his role was very convincing & impressive at that. Matter of fact, while watching BBF he came to mind as he could very well have played the role of Jun pyo but i gathered he turned it down! He's one of the cutest & a great young actors of today I must say. I cried watching Hwang Jini where he died and while his carriage was brought in front of the place where she lives -- beautiful story but sad!
