Tae Yoon is Cute as ever! Although I was wondering what was up with that kiss at the end of episode.. Guess things will get really messy/crazy now.

I know at this point, you’d wish TY and HN end up together but it is too early in the game. That is how drama series are laid out. The nice guy usually gets the girl on the first half of the series but eventually when you reach the final episode the not so nice guy gets the girl in the end.

I am rooting for a HY and DC ending. TY and HN pairing is boring because it’s the usual thing you see in drama, rich-rich, cute-cute, educated-educated. Their only problem is that the guy does not see eye to eye with his own family but he still rich.

However, even if this is a romantic comedy, I am so interested to see how the writer and PD will make it believable that HN will choose DC in the end and do you think the grandpa will allow it?! But this is a drama series, a korean series at that so anything is possible.

I hope this does not end like A Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck because I am so gonna cry if DC does not get her in the end. Although, that would be classic! Logically, a girl with HN status can’t end up with someone like DC. Anyway, I am banking on the usual drama cliches so yeah its DC and HN in the end!!!

At this point, I just don’t feel any chemistry between Hae-na and and Dong-chan. They do not even have the charm most bickering couples in Kdrama possess (e.g. Gu Jun-pyo and Jan-di in BOF, and Gong-chan and Yoo-rin in My Girl).

When they are together, they come across as oppa-dongsaeng, who constantly have fun in each other’s company, argue over the littlest of things, but at the end of the day, they still won’t have that certain oomph to pass off as a cute couple.

Maybe I’m still nurturing my Cinderella fantasies – the so-called “escapist reality” behind my (or everyone’s, for that matter) watching of dramas in the first place. I’d always prefer the lead to end up with the Prince Charming a.k.a. the ideal perfect man, looks and personality-wise.

(NOTE: Tae-yoon is the only stereotypical third-wheel dude that endeared me EVER. In BOF, I wasn’t a fan of the Ji-hoo-Jan-di tandem, not Yul with Chae-gyung either, Min-hyuk with Han Ji-eun or Jeon-woo with Yoo-rin… eeeek! I much preferred the male leads. But in MFL, Tae-yoon just hit homerun for me.)

But in all fairness, perhaps it’s too early to say, what with the drama clocking in at only Episode five as of now. At present though, I’m not really feeling the chemistry between the two main leads enough to make me sniff and say, “awwww…. they look so perfect for each other!”

I agree with previous posters: Looks wise, Dong-chan comes off as an ahjussi with a dark motive, and personality-wise, he is a loudmouth whose voice annoys the bejeezus out of me. But what the heck, I’m enjoying Yoon Eun-hye’s comeback drama. I just hope she ends up with the Prince-like lawyer and not the awkward, boisterous butler.

PS. Kang San Group with Dong-chan at the helm? I don’t think so.
