Wow, just take a look at how gorgeous these latest photos are of Kim Hyun-joo (Partner), which the actress shot for Sure Magazine‘s upcoming October issue.
Kim’s photographs were taken against the lovely backdrop of Canada; she spent ten days in Vancouver, Whistler, and Victoria for the spread titled “Eco Canada by Kim Hyun-joo.”
In keeping with that theme, the photos emphasize nature, and the shoot itself took a green slant: unused electric plugs were left unplugged, fabric bags used in place of plastic, and other small choices were made in the name of environmental friendliness.

but i love kim hyun joo ever since that show. i sat through insoon is pretty (which seo hyo rim was also the catch as well) which i thought the main love story was pretty unconventional but yes, i love her so! i watched BOF because of her. I’m watching partner because of her. heck, i’d watch almost anything because of her.

WHAT ABOUT her flying ALL THE WAY TO Canada for a photoshoot? Small choices all right, what about a big choice, and doing the photoshoot in a forest in Korea somewhere? Saves the nature much more.

I loved her in Partner. She looks better with less make up because she has this amazing luminous dewy skin. I didn’t like her in BOF. Too much pancake and bling bling. Made her look like a trophy wife. She looked so young, fresh and natural in Partner. I love the way they dressed her too. Very cool Audrey Hepburn , Jackie Kennedy, Carla Bruni retro chic suits and blouses and she was supposed to be this small town anjuma lady. She looked like she had just arrived from Paris. On the other hand Honey Lee who plays a high powered lawyer was dressed like a bar girl most of the time. LOL!

i’ll be honest, Partner bored me to tears =.=;;;; so i stopped watching. but i’m enjoying seeing her in the Pacific Northwest, and wish i’d known, so i could have made the drive to watch the photo shoot. ^^ She looks adorable here with long hair and that College Girl in Autumn look (beret, boots, glasses, shawl).
I agree with Kaynn! Why did they need to fly all the way to Canada to shoot some photos? Nature doesn’t exist in Korea? With the money used to travel like that, the magazine can donate it to some environmental non-profit or something…

I love her. She looks great here. And for the people who say staying in Korea would be a better eco concious choice, I’m not saying that you’re wrong, but the plane was going there with or without her. I’ve seen the mountains in Canada (Im Korean Canadian) and in Korea and they’re both magnificent but Canada has long been known for it’s natural roots.
Let me tell you…it’s pretty tough living here in Vancouver…all those mountains, fresh air…trees….it totally gets me down

WHAT! She was in Vancouver and I didn’t even know about it! It looks like she visited Granville Island too which is soo close to where I work! (pictures 5 and 6) Dang wished I was there too. ^_^
Vancouver is still Vancouver. It creates a different ambience as compared to Korea. The pictures gave a feel of the modern version of Anne of Green Gables!! ^__________^

@Z, awww. it’s best never to compare yourself to someone who has 1. free adorable clothes, 2. a makeup artist standing by, 3. hairstylist, ditto, 4. Photoshop to erase any imperfections. the rest of us just have to soldier on with what we have… ^^

Beautiful shoot – though I can understand the photoshoot was not 100% eco-friendly – but what is? I commend that she’s at least bringing awareness to the subject. I don’t know of other high-profile actors doing so, or am I just not informed? lol
@paula253: Partner’s storyline wasn’t really anything special in the beginning, other than the great chemistry between the KHJ and LDW, but the story got much better later on because of the amazing performances by veteran guest actors, KHJ and LDW. I didn’t really care for the script near the end, but by then I was too hung up with the subtle yet passionate chemistry between KHJ/LDW, it’s wasn’t hard to accept. It was one of my favorite “short” (less than 20) dramas of 2009.
She looks so pretty! Love the settings they choice, the fall colors work really well. I wish I could be in Vancouver! I really liked her (and LDW) in Partner regardless of the bad writing and pacing of the drama. They’re chemistry was pretty awesome!
for those of you who criticize her for flying to canada, ECO canada is an Environmental Career Organization for Canada. I am sure she’s an activist in promoting global environmental issue represent by ECO canada. She’s beautiful and is I am sure bringing environmental consciousness to Korea via ECO canada
