I have seen "Will It Snow for Christmas", the latest of Ko Soo's and I find it wonderful - though I agree, SBS could have found a better partner for him than HYS. The quality of HYS' acting did not match the intensity and quality of Ko Soo's - particularly on scenes that required portrayal of depth emotions. Anyway, at least I get to see Ko Soo now on a regularly basis right after a 2-year silence from doing various commercials to the stage play, The Return of Mr. Eum, White Night (movie) and Will It Snow For Christmas? I'm looking forward to his new movie again, "Psychic".

Way to go Ko Soo and may you keep doing lots of movies and TV dramas on which you most excel and shine. Break a leg and GOD BLESS!

@ rambutan, I thought you meant If It Snows on Christmas (with Park Yongha.) There are just so many Christmassy titles, lol.

@ Sonam, that's a beautiful expression, how to live with grace. It must be why Christmas in August frequently comes up on directors' recommended list -- Naver movies has this feature, and recently Jang jin and Park jin-pyo mentioned it in connection to promoting their latest movies (Good Morning Prez & Closer to Heaven.)
By the way, the lead actor is same as the mean-looking cop in Go Soo's White Night movie;)

Heh, I figured it was going to go THAT way. The first couple of eps were pretty telling. IDK, I think I'll pass for now. I don't mind tragic endings too much as long as the drama is good, with nice characters, good storyline, decent editing and directing. Personally, I'm more of a fan of romantic comedies that end well (I'm a sap! So what?), but I loved some dramas that didn't have a happy ending and during which I cried a river. Heh.

I liked The Classic and Il Mare but Christmas in August cannot be spoken of in the same breath as these films. It's in a class of it's own. For those of you who haven't seen it I couldn't recommend it enough. It's a wonderful gem of a movie. And it 's not sad at all. Just the opposite. Very moving , inspiring and elevating. And the two leads are awesome especially the lead actor . I love this film and watch it every now and then to see what it is to be a graceful human being.

Ahh, see my first drama ever was My Girl, so I categorized LDH as a comedic actress (because she was so good at it!). I have high hopes for her and still get shocked when I realize she's so young! People were talking about the EOE fail and how she would never get a career back, but I think she's got the acting chops to make it work. Looking forward to Chuno!

@ 19 mishane

I remember Anna did cry in the last 2 episodes of Fantasy Couple. When she recalled everything and still wanted to stay with Chul Soo? I remember crying a bucket in one of those scenes...

On Da Hae's angst-ing chops, she did display quite a lot of it in Green Rose (which coincidentally also co-starred Go Soo). It was the same year when My Girl came out, except that the former came out first. So ppl were like kinda shocked when Da Hae went from angsty Su Ah in Green Rose to feisty Yoo Rin in My Girl... cos the switch was like so sudden... within a few months maybe?

For Go Soo, I suggest Green Rose and Piano. In the former his acting was more stoic and reserved, but in the latter, he was explosive. Loved both dramas <333

That's why can't wait for Will It Snow In Christmad to come out!

@ 18 Sere

Oh man, with a title like Sorry, I Love You, there was nowhere for it to go but down. Man gets 3 months to live and uses it to get revenge on his birth mother? Sweet girl falls in love with said man?

I watched it knowing I would be watching a tragedy. It was angst angst angst. If you don't like endings that end in tragedy. . . .then you might want to stay away.

(But I adore Im Su Jung like mad and she's. . . .mediocre in this. It's still worth a watch, as long as you know that it's going to be sad and that you'll need tissues. I still thought A Love To Kill was way sadder but the ending is . . .well, you'll just have to watch SIL to find out)
