Same here. I haven't seen any K drama since My Girl and I found this drama totally addicting (Butler Seo Dong Chan was oh so charming). I really have no idea what others were talking about and I think they were overanalysing a fiction drama.

I still love it, probably for its lightheartedness. It's an easy drama to watch and it's generally pretty fun. I agree that there are a lot of issues though, and halfheartedly hope that they will be ironed out soon. But seeing that the drama's almost over, the chances of that are slim, no?

i still love it. and i have to say, i'm adding YSH as one of my fave korean actors! cute, sexy, funny and charismatic...who cares if ppl are arguing abt his age? compared to "pre-bois" actors (pretty boys, prettier than the actresses, now that's creepy), i'll take YSH!!!

maybe it's the fact that i'm not entirely familiar with korean brand of cliches, but as far as fluff goes, i do enjoy the series. I don't hold high expectations when it comes to love stories, yet, at the same time, I do appreciate the quality of the directing, comedic timing etc.

It may not be that good, but it's not that bad. I've seen a number of taiwanese idol type series which is even more cringe worthy; on the whole, My Fair Lady satisfy my inner fangirl needs. Which probably isn't saying much, but hey, i'm just in one of those eye candy moods!

I agree with your comparison of other dramas with the same plot. It's like the character is trying to make an exit and get over their pain but the writer keeps pulling them back into the story with a ridiculous reason to pull them back.

Just like Jandi returning to Jung Pyo's side as his maid in his home when his mother would never allow this. That is not realistic, especially when he is engaged to another woman.

However, I guess I understand why they keep pulling the butler back. They are starting to show Hae-na's weakness. She has never needed anyone and she's starting to realize that her life isn't complete without the butler on many levels.

I like how she starts to realize how each guys is and how different they are. Butler gives her encouragement to grow and be a strong assertive person who can take over her grandfather's company while lawyer dude says marry me and stay home if it's to much pressure for you. That's why she starts to see each guy for who he really is. I have to say the comment from the lawyer really shocked me. He fights for other peoples rights but doesn't give Hae-na the same support. Instead he's almost wanting to just kind of keep her all to himself by any means necessary.

@bamboo
*cheers* yah piggyback team hahahaha can't explained it either but definitely have to have a piggyback scene otherwise it wouldn't be a kdramas.

You know even through in BOF there was lots of sweet moments with the two main leads, I can only remember the piggyback scene with the second leading man and leading actress hahaha. oh well. :)

I'm still looking forward to watching MFL. Fighting YEH , YSH, YIW, and MCW

Before this drama aired, I really wanted to like/love this series. It's airing on KBSWorld right now up till episode 4....and reading the recaps as I go along and I don't mind reading JB's recaps ahead of KBS's airing episodes.

What I was not prepared for was my attention being easily distracted by other things such as blemishes on my face. OK, so everyone says to NOT over-analyze but just to enjoy the ride for what it's worth. Then, I watch the repeat telecast and tried to pay attention...I stopped analyzing and I go into snooze-land before each episode ends.

I can't wait to get to the "awesome" 9th episode. Gosh, I've never tried so hard to like a drama before. I think some mentioned that each actor is great when they are acting individually but everything seems to fall apart when they are together....and I totally agree. All the main and supporting leads are fantastic actors but in it's entirety, they all come across as trying too hard to act their part.

It's definitely bad writing to the nth degree...and taking scenes/situations from so many other dramas that each scene sorta reminds me of another drama.

Anyway, still rooting for YEH, YSH, JIW and MCW....but none of their characters in this drama.
