My Fair Lady: Episode 6
I liked Episode 6 a lot. Less silly slapstick (which is okay so long as it doesn’t go overboard) and more emoting.
There’s something about My Fair Lady that reminds me of old-school trendy dramas, and I mean that in a good way. You know, those addicting, fast-moving, bickering-laden offerings of early- to mid-Hallyu like Full House and My Girl. Stuff that definitely had flaws, but was fun enough that I overlooked them to get swept up in the cute romance of it all. Despite the current landscape of more risqué, edgier drama fare (now with more violence, adult language, and sexual innuendo!), My Fair Lady is almost quaint in its sweet, chaste approach to the romance. I’m a fan of the edgier approach, but I have a big soft spot for the good ol’ stuff, too.

omg 1st
lol
dont like YEH’s hair. that is all!
thanks for the recap! and awesome comments at the end! i like how the 4 characters interact a lot. usually the 4 characters are paired off in 3s. but i like how we get in some group chemistry
i know the main characters are Hae-na and Dong-chan, i can’t stop noticing Eui-joo! how does she do that braid?!!! it’s so cute!!!
and love how taeyoon and eui joo were both wearing plaid! inadvertent couple outfits!
wow..im first!! i probably refresh this site for 100 times waiting for your recap..thanks and the story is getting better each episode…but i really like lawyer lee for haena coz i think he’s good for her…and i love the chemistry…thanks
Thanks Javabeans for your recap. It is great.
Though I enjoy reading the recaps, for some reason I am just not motivated to watch this drama. I did spend 10 min fast fowarding through episode 3 and felt it was quite preditable.
Anyways, great job!!
Hahahaha, in MY GIRL…it’s Yoori that’s flaw! LOL, super flaws…perfect liar flaws! But I LOVE her for all her flaws! I’m using the word flaws too many times, but whenever I think of My Girl and the main girl…the first objective is liar and flaws!…or is it objective? ah, it’s late.
I love this drama so much now! I love IJW and hope he ends up together with YEH in the drama—-although that is highly unlikely! Ooooooh! Thanks alot!
thanks!!!
Meh i dont understand the whole Eui Joo adoration her role is kinda useless. Though her character is feisty and cheerful, I just cant bring myself to root for her or like her. I actually think she doesn’t have chemistry with the other 3 main leads.
I lurve that little boy Su-mi, I really wish he gets more airtime.
The drama is finally starting to get good.
TY is too creepy perfect for me. DC suits HN more I think they have fun. If you’re gonna spend the rest of your life with someone, at least have fun with that person instead of trying to change and be their perfect little partner.
Came away from the episode wishing the whole show was shot outside next to stables and orchards and far-away grass plains. There’s something about tall Jung Il-woo in flannel, so wholesome, so pure and noble, against gorgeous backdrops, so nakedly brooding over the girl. The natural element become him, like he was a born to be a cowboy.
Yeah, I loved that part. And, you can SO feel his jealousy glowering over them when he saw them together. Loved that part too. I’d like to see more scenes between Eul Joo and Tae-Yoon. I can sense some chemistry there.
This was a good episode, but it also feels late. I think there’s too many characters in the show, and it’s kinda diffused the story. Like the show’s waited too long to bring the triangle full front.
To me, there’s a melodrama somewhere that wants to come out. The flow of the show just flies whenever the story gets serious or emotional. Like finally there’s good reason for the expensive location shots.
Right now I have eyes only for Jung II Woo… I liked him so much as IIjimae and
I am looking forward to see more of him as taeyoon……
Ha! I totally agree that I would not mind if Eui Joo was the female lead in this character. Her spunk is so entertaining, but she doesn’t go overboard into heroine-who-break-all-social-rules category. I really hope she gets a happy ending.
Wow, another speedy recap! Thanks so much, Javabeans! I love reading your comments as well as reliving all the images.
Pretty fantastic episode – am not sure about supporting only one shipper now too :S
But the issue with Tae Yoon and Hae Na was pretty evident in their alone ‘date’ for drinks. I thought their interaction was quite limited and she is always on the defensive when talking to TY. When he made a joke about ‘dying at her hands’, the mood wasn’t as great as if she and Dong Chan would’ve been if the same joke were made. I think the interest is in the chase, not the final capture (in this case, for a girl to a guy). But once again I’m also a Jung Il-Woo supporter so hope he’ll still find some form of happiness at the end!
I also agree about Dong Chan developing – he’s such a sweet heart and only got into money trouble for his mum. But there’s obvious room for improvement and HN definitely is starting to shape his more dedicated work ethic and an improved moral scale.
Oh, the NGs at the end were hilarious! YSH is such a great person to work with it seems and the whole cast feels like one big family together.
All in all, thanks a lot for the quick recap and looking forward to more great episodes of this drama!
I love it that she waited for him and when he didn’t she called him to come home. ^.^
Thank You for the recap.
this is actually the first episode i watch of My Fair Lady and the first summary i’ve read of the episodes, i was hoping it would catch my attention cause my friends totally love it but i dont see the appeal..im proably the only one who doesnt see it but its okay, ill just stick to my Tamna the Island, lol
me too i cant seem to get into it but i like reading the recaps
I loved this episode… it was so freakin cute. TaeYoon getting jealous. AHH I love it. I’m seriously really like Jung Il-Woo. He is soooo cute… like at first when you see him, he looks plain. But the more you watch him on screen, the more attractive he becomes. HAHA. Plus that SMILE. teehee.
I do agree w/ you javabeans about how haena and taeyoon’s relationship is more about taeyoon only seeing the good side of haena (who tries so hard to look good in front of him) whereas in the haena and dongchan relationship, they are very comfortable with each other. Plus, dongchan has seen the REAL haena, both good and bad, yet he still likes her.
Su-Ah and Su-Ho should end up together. Their names are similar LOL.
I absolutely love the Dongchan and Hyena chemistry. Sparks fly everywhere whenever they are together.
I think the reason why DC and HN have such chemistry is because Yoon Sang Hyun really has a semi-crush on Yoon Eun Hye in real life. He said during an interview that he has been a fan of hers since he was still in the military and he finds her so pretty.
EJ can have TY . I am all for DC and HN couple!
I’m still confused actually. What is wrong with Dongchan taking the job to repay his debt? That’s what cash generating job is for. I don’t see the problem here. I know he’s got that Lure Kang Hyena plan under his sleeves, but that wasn’t like his main motive for taking the job.
ETA: Honestly, if they are going to take Dongchan’s plan to seduce Hyena as some sort of base for melodrama later in the series (as Gramps’ disease will be), it will not be effective. At least for me, I don’t buy it because it wasn’t done seriously. Not like Yoorin pretending to be Gongchan’s sister or Choonhyan marrying Mongryong.
@deeta: Nothing wrong with taking the job. It only looks fishy because (1) Dong-chan told Eui-joo and her mom that Grandpa Kang repaid his debt. (2) Grandpa Kang obviously didn’t repay his debt.
He lied with good intentions — he didn’t want them to worry about his still-outstanding debt — but when he’s caught in it, it looks bad. Also, his debt collectors are unwilling to be repaid in installments over a long period of time — they want the money NOW. So they compromised and said he has one month, counting on Dong-chan’s promise to seduce Hae-na to get at HER money. Now, that’s something he obviously can’t admit to either Eui-joo OR Mr. Jang.
Bingo, The intro to this episode matches my thoughts 100%. This is old school light drama comedy/romance! And as they are my fav I am liking it so far. To many drama over the last three years have gone off the rails trying to get some sort of edge or ‘newness’ to them. In fact drama been around for a 1000 years or more..and sorry to say there IS nothing new, it all been done before. So instead of trying to add some sort of new twist to things, use that history and make it good. Then you get a popular drama.
I don’t see the old-school aspect of the story so much, mostly due to the number of locations they use in the show, as well as the number of characters and subplots that IMO reflect a lack of faith in the original concept. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a “love contract” story. And this is what this story basically is. But the show seems to want to overstuff it with other goings on as well as more bling for the eye.
BTW, anybody think that YSH is losing hair? At the picnic table, there was a shot showing the top of his scalp and it kinda looked like he was getting a bald spot.
I wiil pursue Tamra first . Aggashi put on hold !.
thanks JavaB! Gosh You are fast!!!!
I havent even watched this episode, but I read your recap anyway…
TaeYoon *super, super NOSEBLEED*!!!! He is soooo… *swoon* love this guy…
SuHo….nobody seems to mention him, i think he is cute too…and funny!
this episode sounds like they are getting somewhere! ^-^
I do feel DongChan’s hurt , as much as I want Haena and TaeYoon to be together, I am definitely not opposed to Haena and DongChan (just the social status of her being a rich girl and him, her personal butler….am just dreading the possible DongChan-promoted-to-be-the-president-of-the-company ending..it’s sooo..blah!).
aaww..Haena and DongChan are cute together *sigh*, and Haena is so comfortable with him….I like DongChan
I think, it’s just but normal that Haena is not being herself to TaeYoon…it’s just their first few meet-ups, and she like hims…most girls are like that…, mmm…, she did admit she wasnt there because she was into cleaning cow dung and apple picking…it’s a start…^-^
hopefully in the next episodes, she will be more herself when she is around TaeYoon …..
@Belleza
RE: Jung ll Woo and the nature-cowboy comment
lmao!!!! I guess it is coming from him being Iljimae (<-the nature thing…but chest-baring cowboy?, am not really sure..haha!)…. ^-^
AHHHH Beautiful people totally belong together! Thank You Javabeans for the speedy recap, its always a joy reading ‘em!! as for the who will end up with who… i really couldn’t care less but either way pairings will make me gleeful.. but, in true kdrama fashion, Dong-Chan & Hye-Na… forever! and i must agree Tae-Yoon is too perfect, and personally if I knew someone like that he will totally make me uncomfortable and most probably kill my self-esteem too… lol anywho Jung Il-Woo is one gorgeous hunk of burning love!
@belleza
“BTW, anybody think that YSH is losing hair? At the picnic table, there was a shot showing the top of his scalp and it kinda looked like he was getting a bald spot.”
hahahhaahaha!!! No way!!!
I havent seen the episode… ill take note of that…. ^-^
thank goodness he doesnt look old and balding….
Loved this episode!
I don’t know why, but I really love Yoon Eun-hye’s hair. I think it’s versatile and the color is awesome. I don’t think everyone can pull off the look, but I do like it a lot.
I’m just going to say this now: I am in love with Jung Il-woo. I feel like a predator every time I see him on screen. Haha.
thanks for the uber fast recap JB…. oooohhhh we get to see some lovin’ and jealosy going on.. ^__^
I just finished watching this episode and all I can say is I love it!!!!
DC is totally in love with HN. I think DC’ll be a better man because of HN as well.
The scene when DC and HN argued after the lunch, makes me almost tearful. The feeling of the scene pull out to me.
AS well as the scene when DC told HN that he’s not a good person. Totally touched T-T
Both of them are such a good actor. The emotion of the character pulled out to the viewers. That’s just too great.
As for TaeYoon, he’s just too adorable and perfect. It’s kind of make me bored.
There’s not such kind of person in real life. I wish the scriptwriter will give more chances to JIW to show more of his acting skill and another side of TY to us viewers. I don’t blame on him because as the story progresses now. He could only shown as he did. Look forward to more deeper side of TY.
thanks for the recap!! lovin MFL by the ep
can’t get enough of Taeyoon – HyeNa … I squealed when he hugged her. Hmmmm seems like she didn’t hugged him back? Or maybe she was just caught off guard. I love how Euijoo cares for DC.
huhuhu
@ Cathy, I agree w/ you. I hope we’ll get to see a realistic angle of Taeyoon, not the “fresh out of a fairy tale” side to him only. JIW is a gifted young actor so it’ll be a waste if he won’t shine like the other leads here.
waaaaah 5 more days of waiting
MCW as YEH’s character?
I don’t think so Dramabeans *sweating face*
I doubt this drama would have secured a broadcast slot if it were that way.
I’m really enjoying this drama.
I love how it progresses without having to drag, though some parts are quite speedy.
I really like YEH and her many expressions, and would like to see more of her serious side.
^Amen to that! With the whole Yigim Production mess and their bad reputation like all the wrong that they did to Park Shin Yang..their ban got lifted only because they used Yoon Eun Hye’s name as bait to the broadcast stations…no offense, but yah if MCW was the main character this series would have not even pushed through. Yoon Eun Hye is doing a good job in her role as it is and she is the reason why I am interested to watch this show eventhough I am not a fan of the story.
ep 6 was so much fun and a lot of taeyoon -heyna sweet moment…yeheyyyyyyy
im so in love with this two…yoon eun hye good job,MFL fighting…WEEK IS TO LONG TO WAIT…..
watching my fair lady was so much fun…thanks javabeans for the recap….greet job yoon eun hye…the way she show all those emotion i really like it…can’t wait for more episode…mfl its a fighting…..
You know, this drama kinda reminds me of the jdrama kimi wa petto (you are my pet) where the female lead is afraid to show herself to her perfect boyfriend that she’s always idolized and is only truly herself and at ease with her “pet,” the guy that she was living with at home. There was also a difference in status between her and her pet because she was a successful career woman and he was a younger guy without a real job except contemporary dancing.
In the first five episodes, I was afraid that the pd might really go against conventions and turn this into a tae yoon/haena ending because of fan response. I felt sad for ysh, as a viewer, because that would have meant that he once again didn’t get the girl. In QoH, he wasn’t supposed to be the guy you rooted for but you ended up doing that anyways because he’s so charming and in MFL up until ep 5, it was the opposite. He was the main lead but people rooted for the other guy. Haha, that would have been pretty ironic..But now in ep 6, I can see that they’re going to keep the dongchan/haena pairing and opinions are slowly shifting. It’s good that it’s done in a believable pace also. Well, believable for a drama. I don’t know if I would have enjoyed it if they just rushed dongchan and haena into a relationship just to get them into one. I would have felt a little gyped if that hapepend. Well I just rambled didn’t I?..haha..
^ No, I didn’t mean Moon Chae-won should play Yoon Eun-hye’s character. I meant a character like Eui-joo could also be the lead role in a drama like this. Not THIS drama, of course, but she’s a suitably plucky, smart character who would make a good heroine.
Woot! Episode 6 is one of the best as of yet!!!
Thanks for the recap JB! I really love this episode. It’s high time that we see something different. I mean basically the storyline is the same but usually the character of HN usually are given to the lead actor and its the lead actress who oftentimes is the one pining for the guy.
I love the scene where DC saw HN and TY hugged because I like to see some vulnerability on the lead actor. YSH really can act. I love him here as I loved him in Queen of Housewives. YEH as always will be beautiful and amazing to me.
I am excited when I saw the preview. HN is the one asking DC to come back. Love it!!!!!!!
as always great recap and many thanks javabeans! i’m liking this series more & more each time a new epis comes along! still rooting for my guy yoon sang hyun of course, don’t take it the wrong way, i know & realize tae yoon is such a decent, young & cute guy but deep down dong chan i reckon would be the guy for hye na and who wld be there for her through thick & thin. I guess ’cause dong chan came from a humble beginning & could protect hye na much more than tae yoon! I can’t wait to watch this epis but having read your recap allows me to wait until viikii got the subs (or maybe they have it already).
oh mygosh YEH can acts so well: being a brat, funny, sensitive, tought and cry tearful, she does so much!! I can wait for next eps.. I wonder what happened to her ex-boyfriend?? Both TY and DC are compatible with her,, may the best man win. Thanks javabean for recap…you so fast!!!!
Mmmh…at first i only watch the show because of Il Woo is in it. But now i lost my interest because the story kinda dull. It`s too bad though, but i still like to read your recap JB, if along the way the story gets more interested, maybe i comeback.
this has definitely been my fave episode
i didn’t feel myself cringing at YEH’s acting
and am definitely liking the angst ^^
but i don’t get why Dong Chan tells Jang
that he has a huge debt because of his late mother’s hospital bills,
he told the lie about the loan to make EuiJoo and her mom not worry,
he lied about it being his b-day because he very well
couldn’t see that his “friends” were gangsters coming to
collect his debt…
yeah it’s another lie but it could totally work…*sigh* but i guess
that won’t work in the world of Kdramas
during the catfight i started laughing
because the guys were DEF about to crack up haha
i really really liked this episode! it just keeps getting better
there were alot of funny moments…especially when hae-na is trying to shove dong-chan into the armoir and everybody walks in hahaha. plus i actually liked the tae-yoon/hae-na parts, even though i don’t think they should end up together. just like javabeans says, hae-na isn’t really herself around tae-yoon and he kinda has a false idea of who she really is. i hope the next ep continues to be just as fun! and those ngs at the end were sooo funny haha
For some reason I really dislike the Eui Joo character. I feel like she is supposed to be like the street smart poor girl but I don’t think she fits the role well.
I sometimes feel like they are setting up Tae-Yoon/Eui Joo… which I really don’t want to happen.
fun episode but i dont like the way dong chan and tae yon look all worried running and screaming searching for hye na. they are in same farm and hye na wont go any far or do any stupid right. so i think the scene too exaggerated and dramatic like someone going to die. lol
ditto most comment.
my fair lady is your casual old drama. being critical, i wasn’t impressed by its execution, storyline, soundtrack whatsoever; but if you let your defense down and take it as an entertainment, it has its charm.
the story starts to knit everything together (previously i was desperately trying to fill the blank on how their relationships and chara development work. not reasonable enough). i’m still skewed towards tae-yoon and hye-na pairing. they look good together. hye-na doesn’t fake herself far too much (means she can be comfortable being herself in front of him too) and tae-yoon found hye-na’s personality’s amusing. they can work it out. but yes, i’m warming up for dong-chan. his charm finally hits a homerun for me. can’t really escape traditional k-drama, can you?
i reeeally liked this episode tehe [x
i’m so excited for the next one! when haena said in the preview that she would never talk to dongchan ever again after she told him he should come back to her house and be her 집산님 again, to which dongchan rejects. she seems like she was crying too… o_O
and also, i’m not talking to specific people, but i don’t understand it when some people watch dramas and they don’t like the main couple. having watched millions of kdramas, i know who the main couple will be right after looking at the drama poster (i guess one can feel the vibe? haha), and who that guy/girl will be left out of the love triangle. it’s so apparent to me and others like javabean that dongchan and haena will get together, and possibly, eui joo will end up with taeyoon. i think those viewers that oppose the couples should just drop watching the drama because in the end, that’s how it’s gonna end up :p i really don’t like it when viewers leave angry comments on sites like viikii saying that they really don’t like dongchan and what not.
just putting my two (worthless? lol) cents in.
oh and i’m starting to have a crush on yoon sang hyun >_<
he looks much better here than in queen of housewives. maybe it was that outrageous GJP-type hairdo?
i really love this episode. definitely rooting for tae-yoon/hae-na. they really have chemistry on-screen. i really enjoy seeing il- woo smile, too perfect..
man.. Haena and Eui Joo going at it each other was HILARIOUS.. what a great cat fight!!
Then Su-Ah is left with Tae Yoon’s collegue and not knowing what in the world is going on with the other 4, i love how she’s always thinking she knows everything, but in fact Quite clueless..
I also think its interesting that everyone in the show is all using the same phone, regardless of whether you are rich or not.
Thanks for posting!
Sweet episode =) YEH and JIW hug was pure <3 Thanks for the recap!
oh my god!!!! i am totally falling over with this drama!!!!! depsite the ratings of this drama, i have been waiting sooo long to feel giddy and fluffy and warm like buttery marshmallow!!!!!!!! its a fun romantic and flawed drama that you cant help but be addicted to it and love the whole thing!!!!
finally after months, i can say now I want my HAPPY WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY!!!!!!!! (just like my happy monday and tuesday when BOF was – the drama has a different feel but I AM ONCE AGAIN LOOKKING FORWARD FOR THE DAYS OF THE WEEK TO PASS BY)
I don’t know why, but I’m actually not bothered by YEH’s acting in this drama. Obviously I’m not feeling her preformance like I did in Coffee Prince, but considering the type of kdrama this is, where the characters are fairly archetypal, I don’t think it is harming the show. It’s Yoon Sang Hyun who is bothering me. Just…awkward. I can’t pinpoint what it is that I dislike about him here.
Wish that they would stop using the same three songs.
i just wish! that for once the “other” guy gets the girl. why is it, that they always make the second lead guy the better looking one? i’m so hoping that hye na will end up with tae yoon. but we all already know that won’t happen, so i try to comfort myself in knowing that he might be with eui joo. fingers cross for hye na and tae yoon though!!!
the preview of next episode seems soooooooooo interestinggggggg!! cant wait for ittttttttttttttttttt! i think hye na will realize what dong chan really means for her in next eppppp! KYAAA
I find myself forwarding Haena’s parts (which are e major parts! haha!) and looking forward to see Eui joo.. i think she’s super lovable in this drama, like how she is super hateful in Shining inheritance… I can’t bring myself to like either Dong chan or Haena.. Haena’s way of being snobbish and the way Dong chan overprotects her is kinda irritating me… I’m not very agreeable with Haena’s behavior, especially if it is really due to a bad breakup.
I’m more of looking forward for any sparks between Eui Joo / Taeyeon, rather than the leading couple.
Jung Ii-woo is real cute!! I’m loving his smiles! haha!
Eui-joo and Tae-yoon! Eui-joo and Tae-yoon!
They are so compatible
And I agree, Moon Chae Won should be in a drama where she’s the main lead.
I sympathize Dong-chan, you don’t come across a guy like him often. How does he manage to find good in someone like Hye-na? Half the time, I wanna throw daggers at her, ahaha!
I would enjoy watching this drama more if people on Viikii would stop comment-ranting every second of the drama, omfg.
Does anybody think Yoon Sang Hyun has come a long way since Fireworks? Wow! Talk about Asian actors using their eyes to speak a thousand words. I’m glad he got this lead role as Dong Chan. At first, I wasn’t too keen on watching him and I didn’t think Yoon Eun Hye and Yoon Sang Hyun were quite a match, but I’m starting to come around now that I’ve seen him in action.
Great recap on 5 and 6, Dramabeans!
I have to give it to you; I really enjoy reading your blogs. And your opinion is typically on the money in terms of a drama catching my interest. I guess, I’m looking for another City Hall, another Cha Seung Won….
TEAM DONG CHAN!
Hmm as much as I liked MCY, I don’t think she will carry out the role of KHN well. Hmm she might play it well but in my opinion, MCY lackes…how can I call it…presence? Lets see in Painter of the wind, she was pretty but kind of forgettable. In brilliant Legacy, she was pretty and sorry but also forgettable. I mean, her mother was more memorable than her. And I am not taking about her acting here. I am talking about her. She need some time to build on her stage presence! Whatever, some of u might thing, YEH shows her star power in this drama and that is the reason why it is as popular as it is. So many people, arguing about it online. It is hilarious.
I have not been satisfied with the last 4 episode of this drama but I most say I love episode 5 and 6. There is still a chance that I will watch this one until the end so please, scriptwriters, directors and actors, do a good job.
Prove me wrong!!!
Hope it’s not late. Here’s my tweo cents worth after watching 6 eps and reading all comments here;
TY does not like the fake HY. In fact he likes the glimpses of the REAL HY when he sees her honest and vulnerable self (when she ran after him; when she attends the feeding for the poor and admits to usually attending parties only; in fact she showed she likes him w/out any pretenses) so how can these be her faked side?)
DC`character has major flaw from the start. Even if he changed for the better, in Kdramas this is flaw generally is attributed to the protagonist only and not the major lead. Forget the he owed money because of his sick mother but how can all his lies and drwaing money from women (being a gigolo) be equated with a protected but rebellious young innocent girl who did nothing wrong except break things when mad and just do things her own way? She is merely a young rebel but not a gangster like the DC character? They don;t match at all.
If only TY character be given more time to develop, it has more potentials for a lead role that the butler (which will just be a typical male cinderella role) plus the fact that he is more compatible with the female lead (HY) no matter how much push is given to the DC/HY and TY/EY pairings.
Lets make it more real life than typical fantasy story where similar cultural and economic lifestyles merge after some conflicts as this will go for a happily ever after instead of the typical rich girl poor partner or vice versa. Why cant it go the way of TY/HY and DC/EY? Isn’t it more interesting that a love blossoms between a supposedly brother /sister ; and the TY/HY takes a turnaround from a HY rooting for TY to a TY after HY later on? For me this is more believable and has more exciting future than the DC/HY relationship which is quite contribed and forced. They do not match at all. Where in the world do you find a Butler who is so “physically intimate” to her boss than here? DC touched her body (arm, back, shoulder, hands without regard or respect. He always stand and talks to her very closely hence it looked very personal. A true butler keeps his distance, but always around; provide all needs of the boss without much ado; do not talk back to his boss; do not sit together in the car with boss. How come the rich and fiesty boss sits in the front of the car with the buitler/driver? This does not make sense for a rich and spoiled boss sititng closely with the butler whom she disliked at the beginning.. That’s why I say this relationship is too contribed as this can never happen in real life or even in fantasy stories.
Some says Dc signed up for the main role, however, there will be no harm so long as all characters are given equal meaty role- he does not have to be the one for HY? Right?
.
To make this drama more interesting, the writers and director should surprise us with the story developments and must not make it too obvious who will win the girl in the end so we are left anticipating every episode and a two possible ending scenario based on the audience reactions as the drama progress regardless of what is shown in the synopsis or the stills. This will break MFL from the typical plots and make for interesting watch. Keep us guessing and rooting for the best male lead.!!!!
Just something to think about..
I absolutely hated Moon Chae-won in Shining Inheritance but I love her in this series.
It’s funny how that’s the case in so many k-dramas where the lead actress will often play the “bad girl” role in a previous drama.
really luv this episode, can’t wait for next 2 episodes to air,
luv eun hye n jung ll woo, more scenes for them plz….plz ^_^
they’ll make a good couple….. on n off screen, I’m team hae na and tae yoon
aja… aja… fighting:)
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think that pacing and the story have massive holes. For some reason, I just don’t get why Dongchan fell for Haena so quickly. After being so repulsed by her in the first episode, he really develops feelings for her quickly. I guess the premise that being together all the time can have that effect on a person makes it a fraction more viable, but I think it would have been better if it had developed a little more slowly. Also the way that Dongchan has been so devoted to Haena since he started working there is a little weird for me. This makes him seem like a push-over, which he’s not, or at least not supposed to be. I don’t buy his feelings. I really want to like him, but because of this I am finding myself more drawn to Taeyoon. At least there seems to be more depth to his character. (Although how he was so frantic to find her during this episode, I don’t buy either. It’s not like she was going to do something too drastic, so I don’t understand especially his melodramatic response.)
Not to say that all K-dramas are realistic, which we know is far from the truth, I do tend to like those with more believable plot lines. Plucky and encouragable are the best words to describe My Fair Lady. I just wish that it had a little more grit.
Side note: Thanks for the recaps! I’d have to say one of the funniest moments in this episode is when Euijoo’s mother is talking to the head housekeeper/butler (can’t remember exactly who it was) and almost let slip that Dongchan used to be a male escort. ㅋㅋ
i would like hye- na to end up with tae yoon, they suit and compliment each other, dong chan looks way too old for hye-na.
