First we saw Lee Jia‘s supposed transformation into an ugly duckling, now we see her dapper co-star in the telecinema project Love Is Blind [내눈에 콩깍지], Kang Ji-hwan(mine).
It does seem that due to Kang Ji-hwan’s “visual impairment,” the unattractive and unpersonable character played by Lee Jia will be portrayed at least some of the time using the actress’ usual stylish appearance. Aside from that, there’s not much to add about the plot since that’s been covered in previous posts. Love is Blind opens on November 5.

I LOVE the opening picture. He has that classic movie star look to him and he can act too. He was so good, charming and funny in ‘My Girlfriend is An Agent’. I can look at him ALL day and not be bored.

I don’t know anything about Lee Jia, but I have a new personal rule to watch anything Kang Ji-hwan has ever been in. I’ve seen Hong Gil Dong, 90 Days Time to Love, Rough Cut, and 7 Grade Civil Servant so far. I think I might even man up and tackle Be Strong Geum Soon one of these days. Doesn’t it have like 1000 episodes or something?

it was maybe 160 eps. at first i didnt want to watch it with her ugh so long and so. .long!
but finished it all in a week, pretty epic if u ask me

That’s the only drama I’ve seen with Kang Ji-hwan; I think I watched in when I was in 5th grade and it was my first k-drama. I didn’t remember it being so long though, so I probably just started in the middle and watched it to the end. Although I don’t remember much, I do recall that in general had a light, happy vibe, with exception to a few dramatic moments in which I found some characters unethical. But anyways, although I didn’t think it was too memorable as a drama on the whole, it was fun to watch…If you’re a KJH fan, you might enjoy it.

I know, same here! I have seen him in almost everything. Even CF’s. But I’m daunted by the 160+ eps of Be Strong Geum Soon. Does that mean I love him less? I’ve got quite a bit on my plate now, deciding on taking up Iris(explosive!), You’re Beautiful(hilarious) and my very first non-kdrama, Black and White. Oh, and that’s apart from my obligatory sageuk, Queen Seon Deok(Mishil is chilling!). I should find a way to squeeze in Be Strong Geum Soon in there somehow.
By the way, someone suggested Capital Scandal, and she’s right. Capital Scandal is a must.

I watched 7 Grade Civil Servant on ViiKii. I did like it, it was fun. They’re a great pair!

And I absolutely agree that Capital Scandal is a wonderful series! I first saw KJH in HGD but gave up after 5 minutes into it. It wasn’t until I saw Capital Scandal that I appreciated what a talented (and HOT) actor he was that I went back to HGD! And yes! I did the marathon……hehehe

This is the drama that springboards KJH to stardom and certainly worth it for any KJH fans. I love it so much that it is on my frequent-rewatch list. As a family drama, it is very long with different plotlines around various family members. The first 15-16 episodes are about the first love/marriage of HHJ that you can skip if you just wish to watch KJH only. Also can be skipped for first time-viewing is the segment on HHJ’s elder brother-in-law (BUT not the younger brother-in-law: langdon813′s Lee Min Ki!)
Some kind soul (aswmi) has actually pulled out a series of the KJH-HHJscenes and sequenced them on YT. The best BSGS MVs, to me, are the following two that capture all the sweet/angsty moments of the adorable KJH-HHJ couple. And KJH’s acting as that young doctor intoxicated with first love is utterly delicious!

I’ve diligently watched Geum Soon on Tv & then again on YT & Viikii…ALL of his 3 movies & have ALL his drama series on DVD!!! He was so cute, funny & awesome in Civil Servant, especially since I’ve loved his tandem w/ Kim Ha Neul the most!!! Love the guy, next to Gong Yoo, of course!!! LOL
I watched bits and pieces of Geum Soon Be Strong, haven’t embarked on the whole series yet, but I’m planning to do so soon.
I was ‘ sold ‘ after watching HDG – to me, that was his breakthru role. And I dont even like sageuks. You have to admit he looks darn dashing from any angle. Some guys are good looking with certain styles, from certain angles but he is different. And he can act too.
KJH fans, you can also try ‘ Fireworks’. The plot was so mediocre I would have chucked the DVD into the bin if he wasn’t in it.
I havent seen My GF is a Secret Agent but it’s definitely a must-see for me when the DVD makes its rounds.
