Regarding JGS's voice--I just started watching Beethoven Virus for the first time, to give me something between YB episodes, and OMG...does Kim Myung-min have a HOT voice. So deep and manly. I hope JGS matures to have that deep voice, too! He's good now, but...wow.

Still, no rival in YB. Whenever Tae-kyung says "Go Min nam" my skin tingles. Rawr! ^^

I'm more impressed with JGS's acting. In Beethoven Virus, he plays the warm Everyman really well. And he can steal a scene in which he doesn't even have lines. Jung Yong-hwa, "Shin-woo", could really learn from that. You don't just turn into a coffee table when you're finished speaking!

I never saw "Baby and Me" due to complete lack of interest, or any of JGS's other projects. But, from YB and Beethoven Virus, this "kid" ^^..is doing pretty well. No wonder he's popular!

@3 pabo ceo, lol at the twilight thing. i would have to say what turned me off the MOST about twilight were the fans and the hype. i'll never understand the craze. the story basically goes, don't read this if you don't have twilight spoiled for you.. *spoiler* super hot vampire falls in love with ordinary girl. they go through some stuff and end up both super hot vampires and living together forever with a genius baby and all of their friends safe. the other guy in love with the main girl gets a happy ending as well.
it really doesn't get more corny than that. yet american fans flocked to the theater and invested in twilight merchandise. -shiver of fear-

I've never understood the whole Harry Potter fandom like you with Twilight. But for Twilight there is a lot of support & love from everybody of every age. YB is actually turning me into one of those crazed fans now too!

am not a twilight fan myself... the only thing that got me thru the movie was my friend who kept squeling through out the movie... and my sis who kept ranting bout it...
i cudnt EVEN finish the (first) book...
i am told that its not bout the love story.. its the "way" she is completely taken in by him and attracted to his "fatal charms"... and is completely committed to him and not scared of him.. even though he is a mortal enemy.. sigh (smirk smirk).. apparently its the idea of such love/attraction existing...

@annie, I know your comment means well, but I really hate these kinds of comments that are popping up in any thread that talks about people doing a nice gesture for someone. Yes there are people starving in the world and that's sad, but why do people have to undermine every nice thing? I bet you ate dinner tonight, but I could ask, "Why eat dinner tonight instead of skipping a meal and donating that money? There are people dying of hunger in the world." Or maybe you bought a CD last week - but there are people dying of hunger in the world. When was the last time you bought new clothes? Why buy new clothes instead of donating money to people dying of hunger in the world? How dare anyone enjoy a luxury when there are other people dying of hunger in the world?

My point is not that we shouldn't buy ourselves nice things. How about we be reasonable and accept a nice gesture as a nice gesture without getting bent out of shape that it SHOULD have been something else?

wow.. i am really happy that fans are openly showing their support for the cast and crew of YAB, they really deserve it.

I really wanted to be a part of all the fan frenzy and support for YAB.. you know doing all this for them. If only I can go to Korea right now on a whim. I would totally go. But I have work and school, I just "cant take off" so easily.

reading this news really makes me feel warm inside because at least if not me, there other people who feel the same way as I do and they are actively showing their support to YAB especially to JGS!!

LHK's fans DID do something for the cast too! I remember seeing pics at the YB Soompi thread...they sent bags of food, and warm blankets, all nicely packed into pretty paper bags with an 'A.N.Jell' sticker on each one. The ones who did the buffet lunch were JGS fans though. Either way, the cast and crew should be really happy! :)

I doubt Iris would have something like this. Isn't their fanbase like 40-50 year olds?

Eventhough YAB offer a premise of idol life plot's but it's brilliant directing, plot, acting AND brilliant SCRIPT that intrigued lots of people. On the other hand, I don't think IRIS was THAT good. It has good premise but lack of something. It was a good production BUT never CAN be compared to 'TALENTED SINGER'. Iris comes when the audience are hunger for something new. The plot's and production offered something new IN Korea.

IRIS offered BIG budget, BIG production, BIG marketing, BIG names, BIG promotions that was a rare for A TALENTED SINGER -you said it to get.

More that called IRIS as so called 'Talented Singer' I rather called it as 'POP SINGER' with lot's of buzz, recognition news and promotion is going on that resulted in remarkable rating.

And for the first time I'm not that impressed on the drama that I usually love that kind of plot and premise. I salute YAB more even when I really don't watch YAB.

The Anjell DC Gallery members kindly gave our project to the YB Crew on Sunday 15th of November.
They apparently spent the night with them untill 4 am the day after. We were lucky enough to have the 4 main actors on set.
We are still waiting for proper pictures of the event at the moment...

But just so you know, we saw a crappy-cut cellphone picture where JGS, PSH and JHW were receiving fans gifts and : JGS WAS HOLDING OUR BOOK MAKING HIS KILLER SMILE!!!

We all try to not loose our nerves at the moment...

I'm so glad fans all over the world are showing so much love and support for this wonderful drama. I hope all the cast and crew members know their hard work is much appreciated by us fans and do not get discouraged by low ratings in comparison to mega-budgeted drama IRIS. YAB is truly a gem with solid, well-paced storyline, amazing cast and awesome OSTs.

woah, at the risk of starting an internet argument - i just want to stick up for 56annie.

She didn't say anything rude or overzealous, merely pointed out that there are starving kids in the world.

I totally agree that we should feel bad about eating nice dinners and sleeping in nice houses and that the fans who sent the lovely gift should feel bad about all the people in the world who would love a buffet lunch, but don't have one. We SHOULD feel guilty every time we ingest even a morsel of food, or drink clean water, because somewhere out there a child is starving to death, bloated on poisoned water.

We SHOULD feel bad about this, and we do (enough to get all defensive), but we're also human and inherently self-interested. I learned to accept this fact a long time ago and I now keep that annoying part of my conscience gagged by donating to charity every now and then. I suggest you do the same, and leave poor Annie alone - she only stated the truth.

i think its great that there are places in the world where a kind act by fans is taken as its offered. in the united states they would be too scared - what if a crazy fan slipped something deadly into the food? sometimes i wonder when our country became so afraid and suspicious of kind gestures. it verges on paranoid sometimes.
its wonderful that this little drama is reaching so many people. its more interesting than iris, and the characters more likable.

What bothered me the most about Stephanie Meyer's work is she let her own religion and cheap wish-fulfillment get in the way of a potentially good story. Bella can't be sad, Ho no! EVERYTHING must. turn. out. perfect. ....Please. But, who am I; the Twilight franchise has captivated millions of people. If Meyer had written the Harry Potter series, Harry would have gotten his parents back. Dumbledore wouldn't have died. There wouldn't have been a fight scene in the end. Ad infinitum. But, as it is, Harry Potter's a great story about love and >sacrifice< ....and it's also captivated millions of people. Go figure.

I'll definitely buy the DVD, the pig-rabbit, the POGS, the stickers, what have you! ^^ I'll be looking into JGS's next drama, maybe listen to F.T. Island, check out what PSH's doing next, look up the Hong sisters' work. All because of YB. So, ratings aside, this drama has enough buzz to survive being squished under behemoth Iris.

Hmm, actually in Singapore, its all about the ratings. I really hope our local channels would considering buying over this show, because I am very very sure it has the potential to be as successful as "Boys Before Flowers". Yes, BOF was a humongouuuuuuuuuus success here, almost everybody knows about this show. But IMO, boys before flowers is too overrated. You're beautiful is way better

I am really really touched how not only Korean but also the people all around the world are devoting their love and support for 'You're beautiful 'cast and crews, either by arranging a buffet for them or making a website on them or even by commenting on their pages.
Every little things count right? And it does not matter if the rating are still not good, they are getting much more love and appreciation from all around the world and thats what stays forever. And seriously they should extend the episode atleast till 18, well i was hoping they could extend more than that (but lets not get greedy).

I'm praying everyday so that YAB would be shown here in the Philippines...

@93 Estelle - You are not alone. I am Singaporean too and I absolutely adore this drama. The script is excellent, the directing is intelligent and the cast is superb. It is humorous and heartwarming with the right mix of angst. I especially love Jang Geun Suk's portrayal of Hwang Tae Kyung - so charismatic. swoonworthy and memorable. Don't worry - you're not too old because I am more than twice your age and I think HTK is da bomb! Yeah, hope Channel U screen this excellent drama.
