i like lee jun ki...i think producers and directors will find out that if given a chanve lee jun ki and my Yoon Eun Hye have chemistry to match with....
they are both good in drama with comedy and romance.....with a story of fantasy, romance and a bit of comedy i will bet it would be a hit not only in korea but whole of asia...especially with the power combine of lee jun ki and YEh fanatics and warriors...hehehhee

Thanks for the recap! I just finished watching the first three episodes, as Haru2 just released the subtitles. After three episodes, I believe I can safely say that I am hooked on this drama, and it's not JUST because of Lee Junki. (Although, I probably would not have watched it if not for him....I'm...well....a BIT of a fan!)

This drama does have some funny moments, as you pointed out, which, at times, can be low brow (and hysterical), but this show also had heart. (Like the intereactions of all the adults with the kids.)

While I agree with your assessment of the "look" of the show, "The visual palette is dull — the washed-out colors make me think of a retro ’70s style," I think the retros 70s style works for it, as for some reason, it reminds me a bit of a 70s show.

If episode 2 was better than episode 1, episode 3 completely tops the first two, and I really look forward to watching the rest of this drama! I'm a bit disappointed you haven't continued with the recaps, but there are just so many shows out there, and I know you can't keep up with them all!

JB, thanks for the great recap of the first two eps of Hero.
Your marketing synopsis is spot on. Despite the meandering beginning, the story does seem to be well thought-out, and it hits its stride in eps 3 & 4.
I love the supporting cast, and the comic shenanigans are set up perfectly - not too over-the-top and placed just right. I find myself laughing more in this drama than I did watching YB.

Baek Yoon Shik is awesome.
Yoon So Yi - I was a little doubtful at first, but she's got good chemistry with Lee Junki. She does the speechless and offended act very well, and I look forward to her dynamic relationship with Jin Do Hyuk. Her interactions with little Sol are also fantastic - sometimes hilarious and, other times, deeply touching.

I'm also glad they didn't leave Uhm Ki Joon's character, Kang Hae Sung, one-dimensional (as the initial week's eps were in danger of doing).

I hope you will continue watching this one, JB.

Team Underdog - Fighting! :D
