I just wanted to say I finally watched this drama. It was fun in a way, although Edward gave me serious Second-Lead Syndrome [gaaah, gotta stop falling for the second leads, or maybe I really just like alpha males, lol].

What I liked best was the friendship of sorts between Pyeong-gang and On-dal– although they bicker like hell, they grow to trust and depend on each other, and when they’re friends they’re really cute <3 Otherwise they run around trying to kill each other XDD

Except for those parts, though, and On-dal's growth as a person worthy of managing a resort [which reminds me so much of Hwan's <3 similar journey in Shining Inheritance], I mainly just fast-forwarded the rest. Gah.

I really love your recaps, especially this one. I agree with you, the modern storyline is kind of boring, a little slow, but the sageuk is much more interesting. I think one of the biggest reasons I’m still watching this drama is because I want to see On-Dal and Pyeong-Gang together as a couple. I think they really look good together, and if this drama is like Delightful Girl, Choon-Hyang, then I’m sure it will definitely grow on me.

I first saw Nam SangMi in Sweet Spy and although it was a mediocre drama at best, I loved her, and have pretty much seen everything she’s been in since. When I saw that you recommended this drama and knowing that Nam SangMi was in it, I gave the first two episodes a shot and I wasn’t too disappointed. I’m watching You’re Beautiful at the same time so Invincible Lee PyeongGang is lacking in comparison, but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.

First off, Seo DoYoung looks drop dead gorgeous in this drama. I watched him in Spring Waltz and I didn’t like him at all. But here he’s charismatic as all hell and I think I’m going to enjoy this drama even more because of how delicious he looks.

Ji HyunWoo seems to pale in comparison to Seo DoYoung who for me, was a scene stealer (although his appearances weren’t frequent in the first two episodes) but that’s just because I find Seo DoYoung so damn attractive here. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the bickering between Ji HyunWoo and Nam SangMi, and I’m really looking forward to how their love story plays out because as of now, they can’t exchange two words without fighting. Love it!

I just have to complain a bit. Schwarz is not a Swedish name, and neither is Edward… That’s all.
I think this drama looks nice, I might check it out, just to get some fresh change in characters.

Thanks for the recap, JB. This is the first Mon-Tues drama in a long time since the Seon-doek beast took off I’m interested in watching. Nam Sang-mi, I just adore watching her, even though she’s not the prettiest or best actress, she’s very sincere and charming in her acting. I’ll watch this once a few episodes have aired and I don’t have to tag along week to week. Thanks again!
