..i was not gonna watch it. storyline was okay ish (like harem in books. not so much in movies/dramas–though its a lovehate fight with just ‘big casts’.
..and really, that poster..?

anyways, 1) stumbled upon/got sent an mv, read she was a ‘nun’ did some google, figured on the ppl who also did choonhyang(drama i picked up because i really really wanted to finish off a jap comic of the legend–problem is, it hadn’t Ever been finished =.=)and gave it a shot,…keke from the very first. not so fond of toilet humour but when it’s done so..bashedly…>w<

I feel that you are beautiful is an creativetly written drama. Obviously it deserve to be highly rated than iris as this series is like virus which spreaded korean drama fever worldwide. With absolute acting by whole cast,heart touching music and brilliantly written script. Good presentation by whole crew .all the way its best drama of 2009.it has totally made forgert the magic of other big dramas of 2009 like boys before flower and brilliant legacy. As this drama deserves to be on top spot.

Oh I just wanted to add that I’m also in my early 30s but I LOVE this drama! Just a very well written script. I am also a fan of My Girl and I see it’s from the same screenplay writers so good job to them!

I just finished watching this and I couldn’t agree with you more. This is a very solid Kdrama with great casts, storyline, and awesome OST. The chemistry between the cast member were amazing. I feel like I laughed and cried with them.

I was not a fan of BOF as some of the acting were very bad.

YRB is def. among some of the best KDrama out there.

when i first watched this korean drama, the only actor im familiar with is jang geun suk, from ‘Hong gil dong’ and Beethoven Virus’. as i followed thru each episode, the story got more interesting and entertaining that i got hooked. even though Jeremy (Hongki) had lesser airing time than the other 3 main characters, he was my favorite.

i have to agree with the comments on how the story was well written which made this drama ‘catchy’. Good casting was also contribution much to its popularity.

yes i do agree with the post comment in saying that You’re Beautiful is just a well written drama.. which i think that should be the main credit of this drama besides of the hardworking actors and staffs in making this film…
bravo for all… it’s really entertaining… i just can’t stop watching from the 1st episode until the last…

No. You’re Beautiful is not about young followers only. I am well past the age of the main actors in this show but totally enjoyed it as i did My Girl. It’s good plot, good writing and great acting. I finished IRIS before this and well…. the cast may be closer to my age but it didn’t have the fun this had and the plot was full of holes. YB has its holes too but its a fun show. It’s bout enjoying life! It didn’t take itself too seriously and that just made me shrug off the inconsistencies. didn’t matter.
And Lee HongKi. his screen time may have been significantly less but he is some actor. the Bus scene oh wow! I knew him as a fantastic singer despite his tender years but YB really showed him as an ACTOR>

The reason they overcome their fans was “They all are miracle”
Now I became Jang Guen Sok and Hong Ki’s fan.
I can say that BOF would get more rating if had replaced by those 4 miracle stars.
