KBS’s new Monday-Tuesday drama God of Study, which features a young cast of underperforming students at a last-place high school, has released its official promos. Featured are Kim Su-ro and Bae Doo-na playing teachers, while the five motley youngsters who join in a special college-prep class are, from left to right in the above poster, Lee Chan-ho, Ji-yeon, Yoo Seung-ho, Go Ah-sung, and Lee Hyun-woo. The drama is based on Japanese series Dragon Zakura and kicks off on January 4, which is a competitive night — a grand total of four kdramas will be premiering their first episodes then, three of them simultaneously. First is SBS’s Pick the Stars, then following in the usual 10pm prime-time hour will be Jejoongwon (SBS), God of Study (KBS), and Pasta (MBC).

I read that the team who produced the OST for You’re Beautiful is making this one too! Boo to the yah! T-Max is doing the opening theme which I’m not too opposed to since I loved Paradise despite its overuse.

I remember considering watching Dragon Zakura but decided not to. Maybe now I should go back and catch some of the original. This drama looks like something to definitely check out.

This drama seems like it will be fun, but I seriously have to keep my exceptions low…. which is hard when you’re a huge fan of the original and it’s filled with a pretty good cast set… *sigh*

Dragon Zakura is the only Jdorama I finished watching! The whole cast is so good, most esp. Abe Hiroshi!!! Hope the Korean version will be as good, and I hope the guy who will play Hiroshi’s role will do the role justice…..

Yeah, Kim Su-ro and Bae Doo-na. Yoo Seung-ho is a bonus, and from the posters it looks like it’s gonna be fun ! Besides, I haven’t watched the dorama, so it might help in enjoying the korean version.
I think i’ll pass on this one. I really enjoyed Dragon Zakura and Abe Hiroshi is such a great actor, i find hardly anyone can redo his roles better than him. but the lead guy sure looks cute <3

Kinda looks like it may take off the manga more than the TV show. The teacher’s motorcycle background is more pronounced here. Also, it looks like they’re something Abe Hiroshi’s “modern teacher-as-samurai” posturing, which he did in the teacher role to great effect.
But the biggest thing. Hmm, looks like they’re going to let Bae Doo Na “Bae Doo Na” (in other words, let her inner freak come out.) Oh God I hope so.
I will watch this drama for 1 reason… Bae Doo Na <3

Anyways, it seems like Yoo Seung Ho’s role is getting a bit too overrated. The person who’s supposed to be the central attention in this drama is the teacher.
weee~ yah. that’s only your opinion but YSH is too great because he can act this role fo a young age. (he’s one year older than me.) I like his movies very much . when i first see him in THE LEGEND as young dam deok. i think he can do it in the best way. GO ! GOD OF STUDY !

Yaaaaaaaaaay,I wish the casts is more matured like highschool seniors like in ET the movie which Minho is one of the lead…………..I’ll be passing this one..too young for my taste.
