nehhhhhh i was watching terroir now on cable, went to buy a dvd set. its a nice drama. i like it.

but well there’s some parts kinda unrealistic though. everyone driving same brand cars. haha even model also similar just different colors

aww, i wish i could have voted. it looked like a lot of fun. unfortunately, i discovered this wonderful blog too late. *small sad smile*
but i would have voted YAB in every poll with it as a choice. looks like it was a successful drama. i even watched it twice, although watching a drama twice runs the risk of ruining it for me. i still love it!

Hi I agree with #33 that some of the dramas recapped here are doing better?

Wasnt Boys over flowers, Queen of Housewives and Brilliant Legacy the top ratings drama in the first half of the year?

Am feeling abit old here but I think most of the drama doing well here in this site are for the younger audience??

Looks like You’re Beautiful is at the lead. yet i still believe “CITY HALL” was the most original and unique story along with the phenominal cast!!! Love Kim Sun Ah inn everything she does!!!.. i gave You’re Beautiful a try but i still couldnt get over City Hall. nothing topped that! and MNIKSS is still my top top top! only seems that City Hall beats it!! . but anyway! .. 2009 one great yaer!!

It was a good and bad year for dramas. The dramas were pretty good, the bad part was that most of the dramas that had good script-writing and acting were underrated and got cut short or not enough viewers.
‘Story of a Man’, ‘Strike Love’, ‘Partner’, and ‘Tamra the Island’ were good examples. The first two were pretty airtight and excellent, The third had fantastic chemistry and I think could’ve gone somewhere if it had gotten good enough ratings for an extension (even though I’m usually against extensions), and Tamra was just so addictive, bubbly, pretty good acting, and man it was just good!
What was wrong with MBC this year?
Dramas like ‘Boys Before Flowers’ and ‘Brilliant Legacy’ were addicting, but exhausting. I was able to follow through with ‘Brilliant Legacy’ because Lee Seung-Gi’s character change took its time and was actually convincing. He learned his lesson, fell in love with the girl and never wavered.
‘Boys Before Flowers’ on the other hand…. I was never fond of the story to begin with cause, even though I know its based off a manga, I found the story exhausting. How Jan-di could go for a guy who did such horrible things to her I didn’t get, and to me, the story was a mess and Jun-Pyio was exhausting because he NEVER SEEMED to learn his lesson.
Overall, interesting year.

i would say CITY HALL is the best drama on 2009. BOTH leads are great and it is under-rated. The love is not like teenagers cheesy type but more subtle, mature and amazing. i am hoping that they have season 2. A-MEN.

To me, Family’s Honor should be included in UNDERRATED section (T_T) It’s one of my most fav dramas of all time!
